2 Corinthians 3:182 Corinthians 3:18

And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory,

are being transformed into his likeness

with ever-increasing glory,

which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

Galatians 5:17 (NLT)Galatians 5:17 (NLT)

The old sinful nature loves to do evil, which is just opposite from what the Holy Spirit wants.

And the Spirit gives us desires that are opposite from what the sinful nature desires.

These two forces are constantly fighting each other, and your choices are never free from this conflict.

2 Corinthians 6:14-7:12 Corinthians 6:14-7:1

[14] Don't team up with those who are unbelievers. How can goodness be a partner with wickedness? How can light live with darkness?

[15] What harmony can there be between Christ and the Devil? How can a believer be a partner with an unbeliever?

2 Corinthians 6:14-7:12 Corinthians 6:14-7:1

[16] And what union can there be between God's temple and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God said:

"I will live in them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they will be my people.

[17] Therefore, come out from them and separate yourselves from them, says the Lord. Don't touch their filthy things, and I will welcome you.

2 Corinthians 6:14-7:12 Corinthians 6:14-7:1

[18] And I will be your Father, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty."

[7:1] Because we have these promises, dear friends, let us cleanse ourselves from everything that can defile our body or spirit. And let us work toward complete purity because we fear God.

A commitment to a code of human behavior that the majority feels is socially, morally, and politically acceptable.

A commitment to live according to the Will of God as revealed in the God-trained conscience, the God-inspired Word, and the God-filled life of Jesus—no matter what the cost or sacrifice.
