Reflecting on what Kate Collins noted in her speech during the Glazier Commons open house, it is amazing to think that a little over one year ago, what is now a first class dining room with elegant finishes was a small pond surrounded by a cornfield. During the construction process it is easy to get caught up in the minutia, but it is important to look back and reflect on exactly what has been accomplished and, most importantly, how it was accomplished. Day after day and week after week individuals worked together towards a common goal. Not only was this common goal achieved, but it was done with positive relationships with everyone from United Methodist Retirement Communities and all of our partnering trade contractors, who we are a little sad to leave! All of the positive feedback that I have received on how many working relationships have been built during this project only reinforces the fact that this was the right team for the project. This goes to show that every individual involved in this project was dedicated to making this building what it is today. Our team would also like to sincerely thank the UMRC staff and residents for being so cooperative during the entire construction process; you made our job much easier and enjoyable, and we hope you thoroughly enjoy your new home! - John Parker, Project Manager [email protected] Project Completion! & C O N S T R U C T I O N P R O F E S S I O N A L S Main Dining Area Library Resident Corridor

Two Week Look AheadNormally in this section we discuss what is up and coming in the next two weeks, but with residents settling into their new homes I figured I’d take a minute to look back on what happened in the last two weeks. The past two weeks have been a scramble, celebration and everything in between! The trades were working amongst one another to put the final touches on finishes, training UMRC staff members on the newly installed systems and preparing for state inspections. The Chelsea Retirement Community staff was preparing for the launch of the new facility, moving in furniture and, most importantly, getting residents settled in! As John mentioned above, this was truly a wonderful team to work with, and I look forward to working with everyone again in the future. Thank you to all for your dedication through the finish!

Thank You! Thank you to all of our subcontractors for your diligence and hard work on this project. This project would not have been a success without all of your hard work and dedication!
