Install & configure SharePoint 1

1. What you need: a server running Windows Server 2003 with IIS (“Application Server” role switched on)

2. Install SharePoint Services (note: to enable search function, SQL Server must be used)

3. Run IIS – look at web sites and options4. In Administration Tools, select SharePoint Central Admin5. Extend a web site (Extend and create) Extend and map to another is for load-balancing Can use any SQL Server Enter a URL path
