For overnight or courier deliveries (FedEx, UPS, etc.) to a street address, ship to: 5850 Clayton Rd., Clayton CA 94517. Fax entries are accepted. Added fees are applied to fax entries paid by credit card or online entries that are paid by credit card through PayPal at picalo.com. PayPal payments do not require a PayPal account. Debit card payments online or with PayPal is also available.(See reverse side of entry form).

Entries close 8:00 PM PDT WEDNESDAY, September 14, 2016, at the address designated for event processing, after which time no entries may be accepted, canceled, changed, substituted, corrected, completed or signed and no entry fees refunded. Any changes and cancellations must be received in writing prior to closing date, except as provided for in Chapter 11 Section 6 of the AKC Dog Show Rules. Fax entries that are received incomplete or unable to be read will not be accepted. The proof of transmission is not proof for verifying faxed entries. Telephone and emailed entries are not accepted.

Canadian exhibitors must submit entries with checks drawn on U.S. accounts or with international money orders in U.S. funds. Returned checks and invalid or declined credit cards do not constitute a valid entry fee. Returned checks and invalid or declined credit cards must be made good before the dog (s) will be allowed in the ring. Any person that issues a check that is returned for non-payment, or submits payment by credit card that is declined, will be required to pay a fee of $25 in addition to the entry fees for which check or checks were issued or for charges to the declined credit card. The entry fee plus the $25 shall then be paid by cash, money order, or cashier's check. Subsequent returned checks or declined credit cards from the same exhibitor may result in their being put on a cash only basis.

Conditional, unsigned, incomplete or entries received without correct fee amounts will not be accepted. Owners are responsible for errors on entry blanks including wrong information, entering a dog in a class in which the dog is not eligible to compete or for entering the same dog twice.

Entries not on official AKC forms or downloaded or photocopies of entry forms without rules and agreement on reverse side of Official AKC entry form and/or not within the official AKC entry size are NOT acceptable.

The Bulldog Club of Northern California and the Bulldog Club of America, Div III do not agree to arbitrate claims for these events as set forth on the official American Kennel Club entry form.

Care for SHOW SITE facility is of utmost importance to Bulldog Club of Northern California. Whenever it shall be determined that misuse of a hotel / motel room or show site is occurring, the Bench Show Committee shall convene for the express purpose of an on site inspection of the area in question. Misuse of SHOW SITE shall consist of the following but not be limited to: ► Smoking in non-smoking areas or rooms. ► Allowing dogs to relieve themselves in areas other than those clearly designated for that

purpose. ► Failure to clean up after your own dog in an area, at any time. ► All dogs must be crated in rooms. Bathrooms are not considered a crate area and are not

to be used to house dogs. At the discretion of the Bench Show Committee and / or house-keeping, rooms may

be inspected at any time. In The Event of Any Complaint, should it be determined, by a hearing that destruction and /

or misuse of property is in fact occurring, the following steps shall be taken to correct the matter:

► Monetary restitution shall immediately be made to the said hotel / motel by the violator (s). ► The person, or persons, found in violation of the hotel / motel and AKC / The Bulldog Club

of Northern California rules shall be asked to leave the premises immediately, and; ► If suspended from all AKC privileges, the offender’s name (s) shall be published in the

AKC Gazette as having been found guilty in violation of the said AKC rules.

Amateur Owner Handler Dogs Amateur Owner Handler Bitches (Effective as of 1/1/2009) Chapter 3, Section 7 of the AKC Rules Applying to Dog Shows “The Amateur-Owner-Handler class shall be for dogs that are at least six months of age that are not champions. Dogs must be handled in the class by the registered owner of the dog. This class is restricted to exhibitors who have not, at any point in time, been a profes-sional dog handler, AKC approved conformation judge, or employed as an assistant to a professional handler. Addition-ally, members of the immediate family or household of a current professional handler are ineligible for this class (as defined in Chapter 11, Section 13).“

Bred By Exhibitor Dogs Bred By Exhibitor Bitches All dogs entered in the Bred-By Exhibitor Class must be individually registered with the AKC. The person handling the dog must be a breeder of record of the dog and an owner of record of the dog. To exhibit in this class, family members must be a breeder and owner of record.

NON-REGULAR CLASSES INVOLVING SINGLE DOG ENTRIES - ALL SHOWS

Winners of these classes, if otherwise undefeated, compete in Best of Breed Competition.

*VETERAN DOG AND *VETERAN BITCH CLASS - For Dogs and Bitches 6 years of age and older. Open to Champions and Non-Champions alike. A dog may be entered in the Veterans Class without being entered in any other class. Dogs & Bitches will be judged separately. *Chapter 11, Section 8 of the “Rules Applying to Dog Shows” provides that a neutered male may be entered as a Vet-eran Dog in the Veteran Dog Class and a spayed bitch may be entered as a Veteran Bitch in the Veteran Bitch Class.

NON-REGULAR CLASSES INVOLVING MULTIPLE DOG ENTRIES - ALL SHOWS NOTE: As the judges' decision in these classes will be based on the merits of more than one dog or bitch, no one of the dogs or bitches making up the entry judged first in the class will be eligible to compete for Best of Breed by virtue of having won any of these classes.

*STUD DOG CLASS - For Stud Dogs and two of their Get. Stud dogs must be entered in the Stud Dog Class and must be shown in the ring with their Get. Owner of the Stud Dog need not necessarily be owner of Get. Get only to be judged based on the merits of the Get. While the merits of the Stud Dog are not to be considered in the placement of the entry, the Stud Dog must be examined to determine if it has a condition that would require its disqualification or excusal under the Dog show Rules, AKC policy or the standard for its breed. Get must be entered in a Regular Class. No additional fee for the Get.

*BROOD BITCH CLASS - Same as for the Stud Dog except substitute Brood Bitch for Stud Dog and Produce for Get. *Chapter 11, Section 8 of the “Rules Applying to Dog Shows” provides that a castrated male may be entered as a Stud Dog in the Stud Dog Class and a spayed bitch may be entered as a Brood Bitch in the Brood Bitch Class.

Awards of Merit for All Shows The Clubs will offer one Award of Merit for every 10 Champions of Record Bull-dogs competing in the Best of Breed competition. Dogs awarded Best of Breed, Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed and Best of Winners are excluded from selection by virtue of their higher placement.

Selection of recipients will be determined by the Conformation Judge.

Sweepstakes will be judged prior to the Regular Classes (on Saturday) and is open to all Breeders and Owners of Bulldogs that on the day of the show are at least 6 months of age and under 18 months of age. Classes will be divided by age and sex. Dog may be shown by owner, breeder or handler. Professional Handlers may show their OWN DOGS ONLY. A Champion of Record may not be entered or shown. Each dog or bitch MUST be entered in a Regular Class at the same show (on Saturday). Entry fee is $15.00 for each dog and entries shall be made at the same time and on the same entry forms as for the Regular Classes. CLASSES AND DIVISIONS: Novice Junior Class: For Boys and Girls who are at least 9 years old and under 12 years old on the day of the show and who, at the time entries close, have not won three First Place awards with competition pre-sent in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show. Novice Intermediate Class: For Boys and Girls who are at least 12 years old and under 15 years old on the day of the show and who, at the time entries close, have not won three First Place awards with compe-tition present in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show. Novice Senior Class: For Boys and Girls who are at least 15 years old and under 18 years old on the day of the show and who, at the time entries close, have not won three First Place awards with competition present in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show. Open Junior Class: For Boys and Girls who are at least 9 years old and under 12 years old on the day of the show and who, at the time entries close, have won three First Place awards with competition present in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show. Open Intermediate Class: For Boys and Girls who are at least 12 years old and under 15 years old on the day of the show and who, at the time entries close, have won three First Place awards with competition present in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show. Open Senior Class: For Boys and Girls who are at least 15 years old and under 18 years old on the day of the show and who, at the time entries close, have won three First Place awards with competition present in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show. Master Class: Master. This class will be for boys and girls who are at least 9 years old and under 18 years on the day of the show, and who have won 10 Best Junior wins with competition. The calendar for this class will be consistent with the eligibility dates for the AKC National Championship. All Juniors Meeting the criteria for this class are required to enter the Master Class and may change their entry the day of the show if entries have already closed. Once the eligibility time frame for that year has passed all participants return to the Open Class to compete for the following year. Each dog handled in a Junior Showmanship Class must be entered in one of the Breed or Obedience Classes at the show, or must be entered for Junior Showmanship only. However, a dog may be substituted. Such substitution must be accompanied by an official AKC entry form. All such substitutions must be made one half-hour prior to the judging of any Junior Showmanship Classes at the show. Each dog must be owned or co-owned by the Junior Handler or by the Junior Handler's father, mother, brother, sister, uncle, aunt, grandfather or grandmother, including step and half relations or by a member of the Junior Handler's household. Every dog entered for Junior Showmanship must be eligible to compete in Dog Shows or in Obedience Trials. BITCHES IN SEASON ARE NOT ELIGIBLE. A dog that has been excused or disqualified by a Breed Judge or by a Bench Show Committee may still be handled in Junior Showmanship if eligible to compete in Obedience Trials. A dog that has been rejected, dismissed, or excused by the Veterinarian for the protec-tion of the other dogs at the show or for the protection of the dog excused may not be handled in Junior Showmanship. Junior Handlers who win a third Novice Class with competition present after the closing of entries for a show may transfer their entry from the Novice Class to the Open Class provided that this transfer is made by the Superintendent at least one half-hour prior to the scheduled start of any regular conformation judging or one half-hour prior to the scheduled start of Junior Showmanship judging at the show, whichever is earlier. Winning of first place in an Open Class at this show may qualify or count toward qualification for entry in certain future limited Junior Showmanship Classes. For information on eligibility requirements for limited Junior Showmanship Classes which have been ap-proved to date by AKC go online at www.akc.org. Junior Handler's must include their AKC Junior Handler identification number on the entry blank. You may obtain your number by calling the AKC (919) 233-9767. 2. The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed competition: Dogs that are Champions of Record and dogs which, according to their owners’ records, have completed the requirements for a championship, but whose championships are unconfirmed. The showing of unconfirmed Champions in Best of Breed competition is limited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where the dog completed the requirements for a championship.

3. (Event Class) Consult the classification in this premium list. If the event class in which you are entering your dog is divided, then, in addition to designating the class, specify the particular division of the class in which you are entering your dog, i.e., age division, color division, weight division.

4. A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the time entries for an event closed. If a registered dog has been acquired by a new owner it must be entered in the name of its new owner in any event for which entries closed after the date of acquirement, regardless of whether the new owner has received the registration certificate indicating that the dog is recorded in his name. State on entry form whether transfer application has been mailed to the AKC. (For complete rules, refer to Chapter 11, Section 3.)

AGREEMENT I (we) agree that the club holding this event has the right to refuse this entry for cause which the club shall deem suffi-cient. In consideration of the acceptance of this entry and of the holding of this event and of the opportunity to have the dog judged and to win prizes, ribbons, or trophies, I (we) agree to hold the AKC, the event-giving club, their members, directors, governors, officers, agents, superintendents or event secretary and the owner and/or lessor of the premises and any provider of services that are necessary to hold this event and any employees or volunteers of the aforemen-tioned parties, and any AKC approved judge, judging at this event, harmless from any claim for loss or injury which may be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly to any person or thing by the act of this dog while in or about the event premises or grounds or near any entrance thereto, and I (we) personally assume all responsibility and liability for any such claim; and I (we) further agree to hold the aforementioned parties harmless from any claim for loss, injury or damage to this dog. Additionally, I (we) hereby assume the sole responsibility for and agree to indemnify, defend and save the aforementioned parties harmless from any and all loss and expense (including legal fees) by reason of the liability imposed by law upon any of the aforementioned parties for damage because of bodily injuries, including death at any time resulting therefrom, sus-tained by any person or persons, including myself (ourselves), or on account of damage to property, arising out of or in consequence of my (our) participation in this event, however such, injuries, death or property damage may be caused, and whether or not the same may have been caused or may be alleged to have been caused by the negligence of the afore-mentioned parties or any of their employees, agents, or any other persons. I (WE) AGREE THAT ANY CAUSE OF ACTION, CONTROVERSY OR CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE ENTRY, EXHIBITION OR ATTENDANCE AT THE EVENT BETWEEN THE AKC AND THE EVENT-GIVING CLUB (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED IN ITS PREMIUM LIST) AND MYSELF (OURSELVES) OR AS TO THE CONSTRUCTION, INTERPRETATION AND EFFECT OF THIS AGREEMENT SHALL BE SETTLED BY ARBITRATION PURSUANT TO THE APPLICABLE RULES OF THE AMERICAN ARBITRATION ASSOCIA-TION. INSTRUCTIONS 1. (Variety) if you are entering a dog of breed in which there are varieties for show purposes, please designate the particular variety you are entering, i.e., Cocker Spaniel (solid color black, ASCOB, parti-color), Beagles (not exceeding 13 in., over 13 in. but not exceeding 15 in.), Dachshunds (longhaired, smooth, wirehaired), Collies (rough, smooth), Bull Terriers (colored, white), Manchester Terriers (standard, toy), Chihuahuas (smooth coat, long coat), English Toy Spaniels (King Charles and Ruby, Blen-heim and Prince Charles), Poodles (toy, miniature, standard).

2. The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed competition: Dogs that are Champions of Record and dogs which, according to their owners’ records, have completed the requirements for a championship, but whose championships are unconfirmed. The showing of unconfirmed Champions in Best of Breed competition is limited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where the dog completed the requirements for a championship.

3. (Event Class) Consult the classification in this premium list. If the event class in which you are entering your dog is divided, then, in addition to designating the class, specify the particular division of the class in which you are entering your dog, i.e., age division, color division, weight division.

4. A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the time entries for an event closed. If a registered dog has been acquired by a new owner it must be entered in the name of its new owner in any event for which entries closed after the date of acquirement, regardless of whether the new owner has received the registration certificate indicating that the dog is recorded in his name. State on entry form whether transfer application has been mailed to the AKC. (For complete rules, refer to Chapter 11, Section 3.)

5. Mixed Breed dogs entering classes for Agility, Obedience, and Rally trials should mark Breed as AKC Canine Partners Listed Dog "All-American Dog/Mixed Breed." Variety, Breeder, Sire, Dam information shall remain blank for mixed breed entrants.

NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS

If, because of riots, civil disturbances or other acts beyond the control of the management, it is impossible to open or to complete the show, no refund of entry fee will be made. A recording fee of .50 cents and a Event Service Fee of $3.00 will be required for each dog entered at any licensed or member club show, obedience trial or tracking test. This recording fee is to be collected by the show-giving club and paid to the American Kennel Club. If a dog is entered in more than one class in the show, the recording fee is to be collected on the first entry only. (AKC Rule, Chapter 14, Sec. 2). Trophies must be claimed the day of the show or be forfeited. No entry shall be made and no entry accepted which specifies any condition as to its acceptance. Telephone and Telegraph entries cannot be accepted. Entries must be submitted on an American Kennel Club Official Entry Form or exact copy (both front & back) and must be signed. Owners are responsible for errors on entry blanks. The Club and/or its Show Secretary assumes no responsibility for wrong or incomplete information given on the entry blank by the owner or owner's Agent entering a dog or a class for which the dog is not eligible to compete. Entry fee shall not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by Veterinarian or Judge or barred from competition by action of Show Committee or because it has been entered incorrectly. No dogs will be allowed in the show area except those regularly entered in the show. Dogs must be ready for Judging: The club and its show secretary will not be responsible and are not obligated to furnish any service for notifying exhibitors or their agents of breed or class judging. The Judges will not wait for any dog holding up a class. This club will not be responsible for the loss of or damage to any dog exhibited, whether the result of accident or other causes. It is distinctly understood that every dog at this show is in the care and custody and control of his owner or handler during the entire time the dog is on the show premises. The club will not be responsible for injury to any person attending this show. A dog which, according to its owners' records, has completed the requirements for a Championship after the closing of entries for the show, but whose Championship is unconfirmed, may be transferred from one of the regular classes to the Best of Breed, provided this transfer is made by the Show Secretary at least one half hour prior to the start of any regular conformation Judging at the show.

ADDITIONAL RULES

Exhibitors must not wear pins or badges identifying them with any club or organization. Crates and grooming tables will not be allowed within 10 feet of the rings. Dogs may arrive any time prior to their scheduled time of judging. Dogs not required for further judging will be excused. Judges will not wait for any dog holding up a class. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging ring when their classes are called to be judged. All dogs present must be held on a leash or confined to their crates except when being judged or when in the exercise ring. Class cash prizes will be paid in the ring to the person showing the dog. Claims for prize money must be made in the ring before the judging of the breed is over and the Show Secretary advised at once. The Show Secretary and show-giving club may disclaim any liability for cash prizes after the judging of breed is over.

NO ADULT DOGS OR PUPPIES ARE TO BE SOLD WITHIN THE SHOW SITE. ONLY DOGS THAT ARE ENTERED IN THE SHOW ARE ALLOWED RING SIDE AND WITHIN SHOW SITE.

IMPORTANT - TRANSFERS of dogs from regular classes to Best of Breed/Variety Competition (Ch. 11 Section 6, AKC Rules) MUST be made to the Superintendent/Show Secretary at least one half hour prior to the start of any regular conformation judging at this show.

TRANSFERS by Junior Handlers from Novice to Open Class or from the Open to Master Class MUST be made to the Superintendent/Show Secretary at least one half hour prior to the scheduled start of Junior Showmanship judging at the show. SUBSTITUTIONS of Junior Showmanship dogs must be made at least one half hour prior to the judging of any Junior Showmanship classes at the show.

TRANSFERS OF DOGS IN OBEDIENCE CLASSES (Ch. 1 Section 16 of Obedi-ence Regulations) The request for transfers must be in writing and presented to the Superintendent/Trial Secretary at least 30 minutes prior to the start of each trial. Transfers for Obedience may be approved, provided the next level class and judge are available and the class has not reached its limit.
