Walking together through America!Scouts of Peru are preparing to receive the most important youth legion of National Scout Organizations of the Interamerican Region and the World, at the 3rd Interamerican Scout Moot, from July 27th to August 5th, 2018.

The incomparable framework of the most important indigenous civilization of the American continent, able to dominate the Andes to expand through the sinuous, steep and incredible roads, known as Qapaq Ñan, made of this the Great Inca Empire. Owners of wisdom, inspired by the community work to obtain from the earth, provisions and a solid, cooperative, mystical organization with a set of values that made it great for centuries.

Today, the Incas heirs welcome us to share the richness of their culture in the capital of their Empire: Cusco.

We have been working with great enthusiasm to offer the event that the young people are expecting; full of challenges and service; a privileged space for inter-cultural exchange; a place to share your project and a unique and irreplaceable experience.

We hope that every young scout, within their own contigents, has a unique experience for his or her life. For that reason, and from now on, we welcome and cordially invite you to walk together through the roads of America.

Imperial CuscoThe city of Cusco, located in the legendary Huatanay Valley, at 3,350 meters above sea level, has been inhabited since immemorial time. It is considered the oldest city of the American Continent. There was Qosqo, the “navel of the world,” the capital of Tahuantinsuyo, the Inca Empire. Already in colonial times it became the capital of the Viceroyalty of Peru, and after the independence of the country originated the first prefecture of the newborn Republic.

Nowadays, it offers its visitors a variety of natural and cultural attractions. Its excellent Andean climate makes it easy to walk through cobbled streets and get around the city in the best possible way, walking through its Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral, the Church of Triumph, la Compañía de Jesús (XVI Century, built on Ancient palace of the Inca Huayna Capac), the Churches of San Blas or La Merced, or visiting its many museums.

Near Cusco, the Sacred Valley of the Incas and Machu Picchu stand out the public interest and getting more and more tourists.
