With close to 800 girl campers signed up for 2020 we are so excited for an amazing season The sounds of summer are all around Camp and we are ready to have campers running around the ldquohills and dalesrdquo of CLH We will have our first

larger group of ldquoChiefsrdquo this summer Being a Chief is a very special year for our oldest girl campers They will be

learning important leadership skills they will use when they become counselors the following year What a cool year for

our younger campers to look forward toI want to send out a huge thank you to our waiting list

campers for being so patient as we try to find a spot We will continue to place new campers throughout the spring

We are also excited about our amazing new and returning counselors joining us this summer Our counselors are the BEST and we are so grateful for the job they do We

Spring is in the air The time change and the smell of fresh cut grass always makes me think of camp We are

wrapping up our winter projects and beginning our sum-mer preparations which is a great feeling

Our counselors are counting down the days too Many of you have asked if it is possible for a counselor to apply even though heshe didnrsquot grow up through the CLH sys-tem The answer is yes as long as they are highly recom-mended by one of our camp families Just make sure they add your name where it asks ldquorecommended byrdquo on their

application

that we will reveal once our campers arrive

Thank you to our waiting list campers and their families for their patience We still anticipate movement through-

out the spring We will continue placing campers as bunks become available

Here is one thought that may help your camper transition from ldquohome liferdquo to ldquocamp liferdquo a little easier As you all

know CLH campers unplug while at camp I have seen a lot of success from campers who put down their electron-ics several days before the start of the term This allows campers to ease into an environment where electronics

are not used We are looking forward to a great summer

Spring is in the air The time change and the smell of fresh cut grass always makes me think of camp We are

wrapping up our winter projects and beginning our sum-mer preparations which is a great feeling

Our counselors are counting down the days too Many of you have asked if it is possible for a counselor to apply even though heshe didnrsquot grow up through the CLH sys-tem The answer is yes as long as they are highly recom-mended by one of our camp families Just make sure they add your name where it asks ldquorecommended byrdquo on their

application

A big thank you goes out to all the campers who voted in our ldquoNAME THE CABINrdquo competition DRUM ROLL

PLEASEhellipthe new cabin name ishelliphellipthe WALLEYE CABIN Boys Camp is now complete with our 10th and final cabin We have a few more surprises around camp

that we will reveal once our campers arrive

Thank you to our waiting list campers and their families for their patience We still anticipate movement through-

out the spring We will continue placing campers as bunks become available

Here is one thought that may help your camper transition from ldquohome liferdquo to ldquocamp liferdquo a little easier As you all

know CLH campers unplug while at camp I have seen a lot of success from campers who put down their electron-ics several days before the start of the term This allows campers to ease into an environment where electronics

are not used We are looking forward to a great summer
