Scripture Lesson: .............................Abbey Lesoine and Sydney YendellIn the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord, high and exalted, seated on a throne; and the trainof His robe filled the temple. Above Him were seraphim, each with six wings: with two wings theycovered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying. And they werecalling to one another: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty; the whole earth is full of His glory.” Atthe sound of their voices, the doorposts and thresholds shook and the temple was filled with smoke.“Woe to me!” I cried. “I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of

unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the King, the Lord Almighty.” Then one of the seraphim flewto me with a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with tongs from the altar. With it he touchedmy mouth and said, “See, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away and your sin atonedfor.” Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us? And Isaid, “Here am I. Send me!”

A commission from La Sierra University providedMahr the opportunity to rescore it for concert band and organ in 2009.

(Hymn No. 83) is one of the great English hymns from 1839 based on Psalm 104 andwritten by Robert Grant, who was educated in England but was knighted and appointed governor of Bombay,India. The tune, , is believed to have been composed by Johann Michael Haydn, the younger brotherof the famous Franz Joseph Haydn.

is based on Hymn No. 1 and is a free paraphrase of Psalms 103:1-6, which begins, “Blessthe Lord, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless his holy name.” The tune, , first appearedin a German hymnal in 1665. It is said that Joachim Neander, author of the inspiring hymn text, personallychose this tune for his text, and the words have never been used with any other melody. Grant Warehamis the organ soloist.
