Sports CarnivalToday was our sports carnival. It was a huge day and it was great to see so many students participating with their families cheering them on. Please keep an eye out for the next Newsletter and on the school website in the coming days.

Riding for the Disabled

Our junior students have been embracing the beautiful Autumn weather each Thursday morning as they head of to Riding for the Disabled. The students have been enjoying a variety of equine activities including led,

independent and cart-based riding. A huge thank you to the volunteers at the RDA Tamworth for their ongoing support of our students.

Woolworths Earn and LearnWoolworths Earn & Learn is on again and Bullimbal are collecting the stickers to raise money to buy equipment for our school. Thank you for supporting the students of Bullimbal School.

Medical students

This week we farewell another round of medical practice students from their placement at our school. Cindy, Grace, Koshy, Matthew and Bridie. The prac students have been working with students in their classrooms and during break times in the playground.

Activate sports inclusion dayNext week, we will have 45 students attend the Activate Sports Inclusion day at the Tamworth Sports Dome. This day is aimed at offering a variety of modified individual and team sports on the day with staff from Sports NSW.

Musica VivaThis year, the performance team from Musica Viva will return to Bullimbal. This year’s performance will be by the Torres Strait Islander ensemble called Wyniss.

P&C UpdateThe P&C would like to remind everyone of upcoming major fundraising events: Father's Day Raffle - Drawn 30th August at Muster.Trivia Night - Saturday 21st September.Bunning's BBQ - Saturday 12th October. Please feel free to contact the School Office if you can volunteer your time or organise donations towards prizes for the Trivia Night for the events. The next P&C meeting will be held on Tuesday 11th June @ 10:30am.

Planning & Review MeetingsThe school is continuing to schedule Planning and Review Meeting for all students over the coming weeks. Every attempt is made to accomodate families to provide a number of booking options for these meetings. Should you not be able to attend the scheduled meeting time, please contact the school office on 6762 8003.

Therapist visitsTherapy support from external service providers can form an important part of your child’s educational program at Bullimbal. A reminder that there is a defined process in order for therapy to occur in school hours. This process begins with a request from families that therapy occurs in school hours. From here the school will work with therapists to establish goals and monitor the delivery of therapy in line with educational outcomes.

Class 1 News We have had lots of fun learning our numbers, shapes and letters. Students are demonstrating how hard they

concentrate on completing tasks. Activities show counting objects- often combined with fine motor practice,

sorting letters, finding and creating circles, as well as completing craft activities.

Class 2 News

Class 2 are exploring a unit on healthy dental care. All the class had fun using the large set of teeth to practise

correctly brushing then applied their knowledge to their own teeth. Well done Class 2.

Class 3/4 NewsClass 3/4 have been studying 2D and 3D shapes. We found that shapes are all around us in our environment. We

used 3D shapes to climb and slide on in PDHPE and found all sorts of shapes in our Sensory Garden.

We went through rectangle gates, past the square windows and found yummy sphere oranges on the tree.

Class 3/4 NewsClass 3/4 have been having lots of fun participating in physical activity for Personal Development, Health and

Physical Education (PDHPE). We have been doing lots of dancing in class and even performed

our entertaining dance last week at Friday Muster. On Tuesdays we participate in a range of fine motor and

fundamental movement skills by completing a circuit.
