BULLYING PREVENTION ACT of 2010• Defines bullying and provides examples of physical and
verbal behaviors that schools should prohibit
• Prohibits bullying• Based on perceived and actual differences• On school property including buses, bus stops, school
sponsored events, and school electronic devices
• Requires public, private and secondary schools to draft a bullying policy to be filed with the ISBE and shared with staff, students and parents
• Creates the School Bullying Prevention Taskforce
