Bullying is any form of psychological abuse, verbal or physical occurred among

school children repeatedly over a given time. Statistically, the dominant type of violence is emotional and mainly occurs in the classroom and the school yard. The protagonists of cases of bullying are often children in the process of entry into adolescence (12-13 years), being slightly higher percentage of girls in the profile of victims.

Bullying is a form of torture, methodical and systematic, which join the aggressor the victim, often with silence, indifference or complicity of other students.

This type of school violence is characterized therefore by a reiteration designed to achieve the intimidation of the victim, involving an abuse of power as exercised by an attacker is stronger(either the real or perceived strength subjectively) than that .

CAUSES

Although the school bully does not have to suffer from any mental illness or severe personality disorder, usually presents some kind of psychopathology. Fundamentally, it has no empathy and some type of cognitive distortion.

WHAT IF MY CHILD IS THE VICTIM?

Thoroughly investigates what is happening, talk to his closest companions, teachers, friends and family.Talk to your child and make him feel he can trust you, so he will feel comfortable talking to you about all the good and bad that is living.Talk about it. Listen to your child, let them vent.

HOW TO PREVENT BULLYING
