PRINCIPAL’S REPORT
School Photograph make up Day
Tomorrow, we are holding a school photograph make –up day. If your child was absent from school on Monday
when school photos were taken they will be able to have their individual or family photograph taken. We will also be
taking photographs of school teams and the Year 6 photograph. Please make sure your child is in summer school
uniform if they are having a photograph taken tomorrow.
Passing of a parent
It is with sadness that we inform you that one of our parents Heather Huby passed away on Monday. Heather was a
well-respected and loved member of the Bungendore Community and our thoughts and best wishes are with her
family at this time.
Kathy Possum Performance
Tomorrow we are hosting a performance by Kathy Possum the Current Children’s Song Writer of the Year. Kathy’s
performance will feature puppets and some of her award winning songs. The cost of this performance is $6 per
student. We are excited to be able to feature Kathy’s performance at Bungendore as her last Australian show
before she takes this fabulous act to America.
Kinder Orientation Session 21st October
Our first Kindergarten Orientation session is next Tuesday beginning at 9.45 a.m. If you know of a family who has a
child starting Kindergarten at Bungendore in 2015 can you please check that they are aware of our orientation
sessions.
In the morning the preschool students will spend time in the Kindergarten rooms participating in lots of fun activities
and beginning to learn what school is about. The parents are invited to attend an information session in the hall
where we will talk about the Kindergarten curriculum, display the school uniform, discuss ways to prepare children
for school, have a presentation on Healthy Lunch ideas and introduce families to some of the staff who will be
working with Kindergarten in 2015. We look forward to seeing families there.
