Duncan Cameron will present the Immortal Memory. Duncan is a retired Scottish Manager of American Airlines. He has been a regular presenter on Radio Clyde, where he won a Sony gold award. Duncan was invited to join the start up team at Saga radio 105.2 FM in Glasgow and he now hosts his own regular show Pure Nostalga. He is an accomplished after dinner speaker and has entertained audiences all over the United States and Canada, Europe, The Middle East and has on a number of occasions spoken at the Hilton Hotel and the Dorchester in London. George McNeil will propose the Toast to the Lassies. George was born in a small mining town called Tranent, which is situated around 10 miles east of Edinburgh. George is known for his sprinting talent and in 1970 at the Press Charities Sports Meeting held for the first time on the new 'tartan track' at Meadowbank, Edinburgh, he set a professional World Record for 110 metres, clocking a time of 11 seconds flat. In 1981 at the age of thirty four, he won the richest professional race in the world called 'The Stawell Gift’. Since retiring from top class competition, George has been involved as Sprint and Conditioning Coach to the Heart of Midlothian F.C. The reply on Behalf of the Lassies will be given by Jo Caulfield, one of Scotland’s most popular comedians on the comedy circuit and has been nominated as one of the best female comics in the country. Jo was born in Wales and brought up in Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire and is known for writing and starring in her own critically Radio 4 comedy show ‘it’s That Jo Caulfield Again’. Jo is a regular guest on TV shows including ‘Mock the week’, ‘Have I got new for you’ and ‘Never mind the Buzzocks and is a regular TV warm up artist for Graham Norton. Sparkling wine and a selection of soft drinks will be available during the drinks reception and a dram will be served during dinner.

Nairn’s at Stirling Castle offer a comprehensive wine list (enclosed) with house wine priced at £17.27 per bottle. Wine can be pre ordered from Nairn’s on confirmation of booking.

Dietary/Special Requirements:If you have any dietary or special access requests, please indicate your requirements with your booking request. Final catering numbers are required 5 working days before the event.

Tickets and Cancellations:A 50% deposit is required on confirmation and an invoice will be issued to you. The remainder of the fee will be required 3 months before the event. Cancellations received in writing before 13 December 2008 will be refunded with 50% of the full payment. Historic Scotland reserve the right to cancel the event within 4 weeks and all payments will be refunded.
