Adult cash fare $1.50

Discounted fare available to those age 6 to 17, seniors age 60 and over, persons with disabilities and those with Medicare cards. A driver’s license or non-driver’s identification card issued by the Vermont DMV may be required to prove eligibility of age.

One child, age five and under, rides free when accompanied by a fare paying adult passenger. Additional children receive discount fare rate. Does not include LINK Express or Local Commuter routes. Exact fare required; drivers cannot make change. Regular and discounted fares apply for Sunday Special service.

Adult local commuter | Intra-County 10-ride pass $20.00

Adult local commuter | Intra-County 31-day pass $75.00

Local Commuter fare is available on the Milton Commuter, Jeffersonville Commuter, and 116 Commuter as well as travel on LINK Express routes within the same county.

Children are responsible for paying the full fare on all LINK Express and Local Commuter routes. Only children under the age of two who will be sitting on an adult’s lap are not required to pay.

HolidaysThere is no bus service and the GMT office and Downtown Transit Center are closed on the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Transfers

The following locations are designated as transfer locations: DTC, Amtrak, Champlain Mill, and Walmart. GMT cannot coordinate transfers at other locations; these are at a rider’s own risk. Buses can be held no later than five minutes past their scheduled departure and will depart once connecting passengers are on-board. Note: GMT cannot hold buses for transfers that operate on 20-minute service. Transfers are valid for one hour after issuance (ask for transfers when boarding a bus). Monthly pass holders passengers do not need a transfer, just swipe your monthly pass on the next bus.

TRAVELER INFORMATION|SPECIAL SERVICES

ADA and Special Services Boarding and Medical Equipment Passengers with disabilities are afforded the time they need to board and disembark the bus. Many buses can also be lowered to make it easier to enter and exit. Passengers with respirators, concentrators or portable oxygen may bring these items on the bus. Wheelchair Access All GMT buses are equipped with wheelchair lifts/ramps and two or more spaces to accommodate wheelchairs up to the weight capacity of the lift/ramp. Driver will operate the lift/ramp and secure you and your wheel-chair in the tie-down area. Paratransit Service Curb-to-curb lift-equipped vans are available for those who cannot use the regular bus service. For information and to apply for eligibility, please call 802-540-2468. Hearing and Sight Services Passengers can contact GMT through the Vermont Relay System by calling 711. Bus Map & Guides in large print and Braille are available upon request. Please call 802-540-2468 or toll-free at 866-864-0211. GMT School Trippers During the school year, GMT operates additional service to assist students in getting to school. These services are open to the general public. Sched-ule information can be found at RideGMT.com. Google Transit Need help planning your trip? Try Google Transit. Google’s trip planner can provide directions between any two points on our system - including bus times, stop locations and necessary transfers. Give it a try by going to google.com/transit. Bike Racks All GMT buses are equipped with easy to use bike racks. There is no charge to use the bike rack. All bike racks hold a maximum of two bikes (including children’s bikes) and are available on a first come, first served basis. A spring-loaded clamp holds each bike securely and the bike’s frame does not touch the bus or other bikes in the rack*. Passengers are responsible for loading and unloading their own bike. Folding bikes are allowed inside the bus, provided they can be kept out of the aisle or under the seat. Passenger must maintain control of the folding bike at all times. *Certain LINK Express buses have a slide out tray that bus operators will assist with. Lost and Found Items lost on the bus may be picked-up the next day after 10:00 AM at the GMT Administrative Offices. Call 802-540-2468 to be sure your item(s) have been found — items are kept for 30 days. GMT is not responsible for items left on buses. Requests for Reasonable Modifications In accordance with FTA 49 CFR Parts 27 and 37, GMT is committed to ensuring a reliable, accessible experience for all customers. All requests for reasonable modifications to GMT programs and services will be considered on an individual basis.

TILLEY DRIVE SHUTTLE

The Special Services Transportation Agency (SSTA) operates this service and it is a FREE connection between the University Mall and Tilley Drive. The Tilley Drive Shuttle offers service to Vermont Eye Laser and the Sphinx Building, including the UVM Medical Center Dental Clinic on Route 116 in South Burlington. The Tilley Drive Shuttle is free, but regular fares apply on the Red Line and Purple Line (please note that the Purple Line does not pull-in to the University Mall) in order to travel to and from the University Mall.
