Crime The murder rate jumped about 77 percent with

46 homicides this September, compared to last September’s 26, according to NYPD figures. Shooting crimes also rose last month, with the number of victims up 11 percent and the number of incidents up 10 percent.

the number of murders increased city-wide by five percent in 2008, the mayor and police commissioner noted that the city was on track to tally the second-lowest number of homicides since the NYPD began keeping records in 1963.

Drugs Carmine Galante was one of the biggest drug loard

of Bushwick. He had control of the drugs back then. Galante was shoot one day while he was in a restaurant.

Fires There are many reason to why

bushwick burned down. Many people say that students were

the one that burned down the building. Some say that the landlord were

making falls call to the fire department saying that their was a fire, but it was only to tell the people to get out of the house.

On July 1976, 82 houses were burned because of the fires that people started.36 of the 84 houses that were burned were not vacant. 46 of the 84 were vacant.

On July 1977, 71 houses were burned down. 37 of the 71 houses that were burned were not vacant.34 of the 71 were vacant.
