Nebraska Sales Tax Exemption on Agricultural Repair & Replacement PartsDo you have questions about the Nebraska sales tax exemption on agricultural repair and replacement parts? Effective October 1, sales of all repair and replacement parts used to repair agricultural machinery and equipment used in commercial agriculture are exempt from sales and use taxes. Introduction to the PistolHave an interest in handgun shooting but don’t know where to start? Have some experience with handguns but want to gain more knowledge and confidence? Learn all about handguns in a safe, friendly, and non-intimidating environment with interactive and hands on activities to increase your knowledge and grow your confidence.
This is an introduction to the sport of handgun
shooting. The course covers firearm safety with the focus on safely owning, handling, and shooting handguns. In addition to firearms safety, the course covers the types of handguns; function and parts of handguns; techniques to handle, load, and unload handguns; proper shooting techniques; and areas of consideration in buying a handgun. The course concludes at the range giving participants the opportunity to practice what they learned.
At the end of the course you will have the knowledge, skills, and confidence to safely own, handle, and shoot handguns.
Participants will not be able to bring their own personal handgun to the classroom portion of this course. There is an optional range fee of $15 which includes shooting one of the instructor’s pistols and 50 rounds of ammo. If participants bring their own pistol and ammo, the range fee is $5.00, but their pistol has to be inspected and approved for use. Yes, we play such classics as Connect Four, Checkers, Chess, Othello, Mastermind, and Mancala, but the logical thinking involved in navigating logic puzzles and these games is really mental “work” as well as play. The Adult Education, GED, and ESL programs provide instruction that helps individuals acquire the academic skills necessary for employment or admission to college and occupational or training programs. Anyone over 18 years of age or older who is not enrolled in another school is eligible for enrollment. Please call 308.635.6770 regarding special enrollment requirements for 16- and 17-year-olds. Some students may wish to work on all the subjects necessary to take the GED tests and others may only need to improve skills, such as math or reading, to improve their employment opportunities.
