MUB MEETINGMINUTES
May 26th, 2020
Attendees included: Ken Sabers, MUB Pres-ident; Shawn Mechling, MUB member (by phone); Ron Waterland, MUB member (by phone); Rick Bush, Public Works Di-rector; Daniel Ainslie, City Manager; Fay Bue-no; Finance Officer; Liz Wunderlich, City Engi-neer.
1. Meeting called to order by Ken Sabers at 7:32am.
2. a.) Mechling made a motion to approve the May agenda, second by Waterland. All approved. b.) Mechling made a mo-tion to approve the April minutes, second by Wa-terland. All approved.
3. Mechling made a motion to approve the claims, second by Water-land. All approved.
4. City Finance Office Report- Bueno discussed June 1st, restarting late fees and shut offs. The no shut off, no late fee due to Covid19 will end unless president extends.
5. Customer Con-cerns- Bush said Jim Al-lison called him and was pleased with how his pre-vious concerns were han-dled.
6. Water Superinten-dent Report- Bush dis-cussed working with Dakota Pump. David has been getting all the smart-points installed and trying a meter reading gun. He found a version he likes that is cheaper and small-er.
7. Public Works Di-rector Report- Bush went to all the buildings with insurance company esti-mators. He suggests get-ting the well buildings reroofed as they needed it prior to damage. Bush handed out pictures for board to see damage and stated gutters probably didn’t need replaced. He
talked about future inter-views for the water super-intendent position.
8. Public Hearings – none
9. Old Business – Ains-lie asked for the board to read through the ordinates and look for any chang-es that need to be made. Wunderlich pointed out location of meetings needs to be change. Ainslie stat-ed the website needs to be updated. Need to update meeting location and 4.14 fee for inspection.
10. New Business – none
11. Other matters that may come before the MUB Board – none
12. Executive Session- none
Waterland motioned to adjourn the meeting at 7:50 am, Mechling sec-onded and all approved.
The next meeting will be held on June 23rd at 7:30 am in the conference room at the Public Works Campus.
