Established in: July 2010 – February 2011 (Platform People) April 2015 (Co-Ignition)

Services: Online recruitment facilitator (Co-Ignition) Advisory, Financial Business Resourcing (Plat. People)

Location and general information

Mission: - Co-Ignition: change the shape of recruitment to better support companies wanting to employ new staff - Platform People: offer a very specialist, high standard consultancy/recruitment service to major financial services organisations.

Main Activities: - Co-Ignition: Platform development and promotion, marketing, database creation of employers and recruiters, market research, meetings

- Platform People: client pipeline creation, CV parsing industry research, marketing activity, social network, phone enquiries

My position and Tasks

• Opportunity to work on a project and assist my co-workers in their job

• Provide support whenever I am needed and for whatever kind of activity

• Avoid any disruption or hindrance to my colleagues

• Afraid that lack of experience may affect my performances• Do what is required, to accomplish the best outcomes• Do appropriate research, tailored to the project and utilise the appropriate tools indicated by my more experienced colleagues

Generic competences:- Be professional, creative, formal and simple- Organise my activities to a high standard- Set a timeline and daily goals to make my job easier and more satisfying

- Don’t be afraid of training or missing competences, this is natural at the beginning

- Learning by doing, as well as by observing

Business/marketing/market research competences:- Always keep a record of what I have done and achieved- Learned how important constant brainstorming is (start-up)

- Working environment has a totally different perspective than university, practical experience in running a business gives individual abilities that could not be studied

Platform People: - 407 new candidates added to the intranet from (individual) my research and their CVs parsed

- 90 existing candidates position and CVs updated on the intranet

Make the marketing activity more varied to increase awareness and interest on the product

Try different kind of approaches to get clients’ attention

Train all staff members on both Co-Ignition and Platform People, so they can be movable in case of necessity and everybody can learn transferrable skills

Increase staff numbers by 1 or 2 units to attain more extensive results and more rapid growth

Call staff meetings more frequently for more face-to-face interaction, ideas collection/implementation and results summary (especially Co-Ignition)

Proposals and Recommendations

Platform People is a healthy business and Co-Ignition team has many good ideas for its future development

The results obtained during my internship have been

outstanding and my personal growth has been remarkable

It has been an experience which I would do again immediately
