Bryan Dennis, Ph.D.Associate Professor of Management

Bryan Dennis, leads the managementconcentration at USCB, teaching classesin strategy, business ethics, and organi-zational behavior.

Dr. Dennis is an active researcher focusingon business ethics. He has published in suchrefereed journals as Business and Society,Business Ethics Quarterly, Journal ofManagerial Psychology, ManagementDecision, and Global Business andOrganizational Excellence. The topics of

his publications include social responsibility, corporate governance,and corporate philanthropy.

A recent example of Dr. Dennis’ research examined the motivationsof top managers engaging in corporate philanthropy. His study,published in Business & Society, found that the values of S&P 500firms CEOs are the prominent factor in corporate giving decisions.

Dennis earned his accounting and MBA degrees from Virginia Tech.In 2004, he received his doctorate in strategic management from theUniversity of Georgia. Prior to his arrival at USCB, he was an assistantprofessor at Idaho State University.
