L E S S O N P L A N

The objectives of this lesson plan are to provide you with set phrases that you can use when you are interacting with

clients.

You will have to practice using these phrases with your teacher to perfect voice tones which display empathetic

value.

This is a lexical approach to learning however you can modify the sentences

in relation to the type of work that you

do. There will be a series of role play scenarios to help you to apply these phrases.

You will find links to useful background information on page 5. Specific parts of this lesson plan are recorded for you, they are in a format which can be used

on any portable device.

Practice your voice tones when repeating particular phrases paying

particular attention to speech pauses

usually used to grab the attention of an audience and help you to express yourself.

Find out more about the relationship between how we express in writing and speech. We hope that you find this class useful and that you are able to start
