W h o a m I? What I do is simple: custom furniture designed and made specifically for you. I work with you

on the initial design and specifications and then I build it! My company logo is the Japanese

symbol for “heart” which illustrates the principles I apply to my work: stability, fortitude,

elegance, and, most importantly, character. Right angles are the foundation to any build, and

without them a project is lost at square one (pun intended). This gradual process takes time to

achieve, but if done properly, projects will embody strength and dependability. That idea

became the inspiration for my company’s name, Right Angles by Ray, is a personal guarantee

that every project will be completed with heart.

W h a t c a n I d o f o r y o u ? Right Angles by Ray is a craft company that takes pride in furnishing your home specifically for

you and your needs. Woodworking was a hobby of mine that I intend to turn into a business. I

pour my heart into each project and my work revolves around you; therefore everything I build

will be true and unique. This is a beginning to end experience so even if you are not exactly sure

how you would like to design your furnishings, I can help you with your decision.

H o w d i d I g e t s t a r t e d ?

Nothing is created for us anymore is it? Almost everything we buy is part of a conscious effort to

appeal to the masses. Choice and uniqueness is sacrificed for standardization and “the ordinary.”

That leaves us with “rules” which we must learn to live with. My name is Raymond J. Wang and

what I have discovered while furnishing my own home was the frustration due to the many

dimensional constraints of the mass produced, low-quality products found at outlets such as Ikea.

I had three problems with these types of stores. First, it was exhausting to browse through the

huge warehouses to find something that really stood out to me. Second, when I finally found

something that I loved, I was disappointed to discover how I simply could not make the

dimensions work in my apartment; in other words it was either too big or not big enough. Lastly,

when I finally found something that I loved, that fit well in my apartment, and was made out of

good quality materials that would last; I found that the price was outrageously expensive. My

solution to this ongoing frustration of furniture hunting was to make my own – items that would

fit my expectations and needs.

First we will have a discussion to clarify what you are looking for – preferred measurements and

specific dimensions included. Next, I will plan and design your furniture and present a blueprint

to you for approval/modification before I begin my work. Once I have the green light, I will

execute the agreed upon plans from the ground up. Because we are working together throughout

this entire process, your furniture will be built the way you envision it, made exactly for you

and no one else. I am here to work tirelessly to create something for you and your loved ones to

enjoy for many years to come.
