It can be a simple one-page document that just outlines your goals and objectives that you hope to achieve as a business. How will your business generate revenue? What services or products are being offered? How does your business enrich the lives of your customers? What are you NOT willing to do in your business? If you don’t already have a business plan, it’s something you don’t have to spend an hour or two or a whole bunch of time on.

I’ve seen this question pop-up in a couple of dif f erent f orms the last f ew weeks. People newly navigating theworld of internet marketing or online business wonder if they need a business plan or whether they shouldjust get started and take it as they go. I think that would be an absolutely terrible idea.

If you have a business, whether it ’s online or of f line, you need a business plan. It doesn’t have to becomplex, it doesn’t have to be a hundred pages or a book or written by an attorney. It can be a simple one-page document that just outlines your goals and objectives that you hope to achieve as a business.

How will your business generate revenue? What services or products are being of f ered? How does yourbusiness enrich the lives of your customers? What are you NOT willing to do in your business?

If you don’t already have a business plan, it ’s somethingyou don’t have to spend an hour or two or a whole bunchof t ime on. Simply take a sheet of paper or open up yourWord processor on your computer and start outlining whatyou want to achieve and what your goals are as abusiness.

The great thing is, once those objectives are clearlydef ined and you know what they are, you can start movingtowards obtaining them and you can start making the rightmoves that will help you achieve those results. Stayingf ocused and organized is absolutely crit ical.

If you don’t have a business plan, you really are justreaching to the dark, you really are just running around withyour eyes closed and you’re just hoping f or the best. Don’tdo that, completely avoid that. Make sure you clearly def ineyour objectives and goals and you’ll f ind that your successwill f ollow.
