Business Profi le Gabriele Baratto

Gabriele Baratto gabriele.baratto@unitn.it Gabriele Baratto is researcher at the research group “eCrime” of the Faculty of Law of the University of Trento that has recently signed a memorandum of understanding with Europol in the area of online and offline counterfeiting, substandard goods with impact on health and safety, and online piracy. At the Faculty of Law, he is also lecturer of the course eCriminology and teaching assistant of the courses Criminology and Applied Criminology (holder: prof. Andrea Di Nicola). For over 5 years, Baratto has been dealing with organized crime, illegal markets (including counterfeiting), and with the links between crime, the Internet and new technologies. Among the EU research projects at eCrime, he has also been Vice-Project Manager of “www.fakecare.com” and Activities Leader of “www.surfandsound.eu”. He is also PhD candidate at the School of International Studies of the University of Trento and partner of Intellegit s.r.l.
