- Business need emerged toards managing the comple*ity and diversity of

proect .nancials for all ne proects in Commercial vehicle and Passenger vehicle

business units through a standardied all1inclusive &2 enabled portal% 2his portal

ill encompass the entire array of ne proects in 2ata 3otors ith desired levels

of customiation, di4erentiation and integration%

3.1.2.1 Business Drivers

+enior 3anagement re5uire a portal for convenient access to business case

data and perform a comparative analysis on current as ell as historical data

Proect leads need to put in manual e4orts for generation of .nal reports%

6ence, there is a need for automation in generation of these reports

Proect leads also need to ensure con.dentiality and consistency of the data% -t

the same time, they need to ensure that access is provided to authoried users

Business %ase Preparation* Proect lead uses the business case template of the respective business unit

2he computations of proect .nancials are ta7en care of by the business

case template

Ris7 assessment techni5ues such as sensitivity analysis and tornado

analysis are incorporated ithin the business case template% 2hese are

applied to the current business case

Once prepared, the business case resides on the proect lead8s machine

Proect .nancials PP2 is prepared by the proect lead on the basis of the

business case% 2he PP2 consists of details such as 7ey .nancial metrics,

overall business case assumptions, pro.t 9 loss statement, gateay gap

analysis and :P' cadence

2he business case and the presentation are revieed by the group lead

+POC collates the proect PP2s and generates the .nal revie PP2

Changes discussed during the revie meeting are incorporated in the

Once gateay revie is done and approved, the business case is froen%

interface

2he most recent business case corresponding to the input information ill

be populated into the business case

2he user can modify the input values as desired

2he computations of proect .nancials are ta7en care of by the businesscase template

Once prepared, all input values and other important variables ill be stored

into the central repository

sent to the chec7er% Once validated, the chec7er ill again upload the case

to the database% 2he case ill automatically go to the revieer% -fter

veri.cation, the revieer ill certify the business case as oAcial

Proect .nancials PP2 ill be generated on the basis of ne business case

data in the central repository

+POC ill collate the proect PP2 and generate the .nal revie PP2

2he portal must not allo the same version to be uploaded tice

-ll changes in the business cases must be logged

Oine access must be provided to the authoried users

Consistency and con.dentiality of data must be maintained
