Your Escrow Account Management relationship may include multiple trial balance reports, that separate different types of funds. For example, a trial balance for each building in an apartment complex. Escrow Deposit Register The deposit register serves as a quick reference guide of sub-account activity. Included in the register is the date of deposit, sub-account name or number, brief description, and the amount of the deposit. Escrow Debit Register A separate debit register will be provided monthly. This register will allow our Escrow Account Management service customers to quickly reference checks paid, wire transfers, partial disbursements, etc. each month, along with additional information such as the amount of funds disbursed, the date the item was paid, and the associated sub-account number from which the disbursement was made. Escrow Account Statement This is an optional sub-account statement that details the monthly activity within a specific sub-account that can be provided at no additional cost to you (upon request). Escrow Trial Balance Report

Easy Access to Funds

All withdrawals and account closings can be handledby phone or fax, so you can manage your escrowaccounts when it’s convenient for you.

Withdraw from a Sub-account

Making a withdrawal from a sub-account is simpleand efficient. Using the checks provided for thedisbursement account, simply write out the check forthe withdrawal amount and include the sub-accountnumber on the check. We will reference the checkupon the date presented and post the specific entryto the desired sub-account.

Escrow checks can be used for both withdrawalsand sub-account close outs.

Send Wire Transfers from a Sub-account

n Complete The Provident Bank’s Wire Transfer Request form at your local branch or fax wiring instructions to your local branch. You can also initiate an outgoing wire transfer through our Cash Management Online Banking system.

n Provide the sub-account information, including the amount of the wire transfer, to Provident via telephone 732.590.9288 or via fax 866.851.7482.

Receive Wire Transfers

n Provide the remitter with the following information:

– The Provident BankP.O. Box 1001Iselin, NJ 08830-1001

– ABA# 221272303

– Title of Master Account

– Master Account number to be credited

n Provide the sub-account information, including the amount of the wire transfer, to Provident via telephone 732.590.9288 or via fax 866.851.7482.

Wire transfer e-mail confirmations can be sent upon request.

Close a Sub-accountn OPTION I: Call us at 732.590.9288 with the

sub-account name and account you wish to close.n OPTION 2: Fax the Transfer Authorization Request

form to us at 866.851.7482. Upon your request, the form can be faxed back to you for confirmation of completion.

The Provident Bank will provide a closing amount,which includes interest accrued through the date ofwithdrawal but not yet deposited to the sub-account.Using the checks provided for the disbursementaccount, simply write out the check for the closingwithdrawal amount and include the sub-accountnumber on the check. We will reference the checkupon the date presented and post the specific entryto the desired sub-account.

HOW IT WORKS

Our Escrow Account Management service provides the convenience of organizing the primary escrow functions into one master account. This account can receive all deposits and is linked for tracking and reporting purposes to individual sub-accounts. The account also utilizes custom checks containing a sub-account entry field to ensure correct debit posting.

Plus, you’ll receive detailed monthly reports (see sample reports on back page) showing all your transactions, including:

• Escrow Summary Trial Balance• Individual/Sub-account Statement

(Upon Request)• Escrow Debit Register• Deposit Register

Instructions for common tasks associated with maintaining the accounts within your Escrow Account Management relationship are provided in this guide. Please feel free to speak to your branch manager for additional assistance.

MANAGING YOURESCROW ACCOUNTING

Simply open an Escrow Account Management service master account.This master account can manage an unlimited number of sub-accounts.Sub-accounts can then be opened by completing a deposit slip. Provident also allows master account holders to choose their own sub-account numbers to match internal records. (An Escrow Deposit Slip is shown below for easy reference.)

Open a Sub-account

Select a unique sub-account name or number and complete all the fields as highlighted in the deposit slip with special emphasis on:

1 Enter the Escrow Master Account name (i.e. Attorney, Landlord etc.)

2 Enter the Escrow Master Account number

3 Enter name and complete address assigned to the sub-account

4 Enter your sub-account number (maximum of 9 digits which can be any combination of alpha and/or numeric characters)

5 Enter the Social Security number or Tax ID number assigned to the sub-account

6 Sub-account holder must sign the W-9 Section and indicate if they are subject to Back-up Withholding

Once completed, submit the deposit slip and the initial deposit either in-person or by mail. A receipt will be provided.

Deposit Remotely

With our Remote Deposit Capture Service, checks can be deposited remotely. Instead of utilizing the Escrow Deposit Slip, you can complete a spreadsheet with the same information and fax to 866.851.7482 for proper credit to the escrow sub-accounts.
