What is False Advertising ?

Definition Also known as Deceptive advertisingRefers to a manufacturer's use of confusing, misleading, or blatantly untrue statements when promoting a product.

Why do Companies encourage false advertising?False advertising techniques will lead the consumer to believe that the individual is somehow profiting from a purchase.The individual is led to believe that he or she is getting a good deal, saving money, or buying a good that will perform in a specific manner.A company will participate in false advertising to gain more customers.

How to overcome False advertising ?

What can we do about it ?1. A solution to we could use to deal with false advertising is to clearly point out the rules and regulations or expectations that are provided in the Terms & Conditions section before moving on to the actual purchase or certain service or product.

2. Another solution is to sue the brand or authority that is responsible for the false advertising. Before proceeding to the court activities the consumer must gather enough evidence against the fraud to successfully sue them.
