Bharati Vidyapeeth, the parent organizationof this University is celebrating this year as its Golden

Jubilee Year. At this moment my mind goes back overa period of five decades. Bharati Vidyapeeth initiatedits academic journey with a single school. 5. The candidates who have qualified the LL.B. Entrance Test 2014 and called for counselling through

website notification shall attend the first counselling for admission (subject to his merit and seats available)at New Law College, Pune on 3rd July 2014. He/She shall confirm his/her admission by paying the totalfees prescribed for the program on the date of counseling. Subsequent claim for admission will not beentertained ,after the date of counseling.

6. The admission secured by the candidate shall remain provisional till he / she clears the eligibilityrequirements prescribed by the University & Bar Council of India. In case of non- fulfillment of eligibilitythe provisional admission can be cancelled at any stage without giving any notice to the candidate.

7. In case of cancellation of admission the rules of University shall be applicable for refund of tuition fees.8. The Form fee + Entrance Examination fee is Rs. 1200/- ( One thousand two hundred only). The

fee can be paid in cash at the admission counter or through Demand Draft in favour of the Registrar,

BHARATI VIDYAPEETH DEEMED UNIVERSITY, PUNE RE-ACCREDITED WITH 'A' GRADE BY NAAC

The status of the university was given to a cluster of these colleges and the institute in appreciation of the high level of the academic excellenceand for their potential for further growth. During the last 17 years of so, the university has achieved still higher pinnacles of academic excellence and has established a reputation to suchand extent that it attract students only from various parts of India and aborad. According to a survey conducted by Association of IndianUniversities, this university is one among the top ten universities in the country preferred by the overseas students for admissions. At present,there are more than 800 overseas students from 67 countries on the rolls of constituent units of this university. During the last 17 years there has been tremendous academic expansion of the university. It now conduct in all 214 courses in its constituentunits, of them 107 are Post Graduate, 50 are Under Graduate and 57 Diploma level courses. 2) If a student submit his application for cancellation of admission in a prescribed form(duly completed)within 15 calendar days for the date of commencement of the particular course, 10percent of total amount of tuition fees prescribed for the course will be deducted form the amount oftuition fee paid by him and the balance amount will be refunded.

3) If a student submits his application for cancellation of admission in a prescribed form (dulycompleted) within 30 calender days from the date of commencement of the particular course, 20percent of the total amount of tuition fees prescribed for the course will be deducted from the amountof tuition fee paid by him and the balance amount will be refunded.

4) If a student submits an application for cancellation of admission after 30 calendar days from the date ofcommencement of the particular course, no refund will be made and Rule (5) may also invoked.However, if the application for cancellation of admission is submitted before the last date prescribed foradmission, and if the vacated seat is filled by another candidate, 25% of the amount of tuition feesprescribed for the course will be deducted from the amount of tuition fee paid and the balance amount willbe refunded.

5) If any student admitted to any course leaves the course after the prescribed last date for admission ofthe particular course no refund will be made and he will be required to pay full amount of tuition feesfor the remaining entire duration of the course.

Filling of Entrance Examination Application Form & Entrance Exam Fee

1. Application form shall be filled by the candidate in block letters with Black / Blue ball point pen.

2. The Candidate shall fill all the columns relevant and shall affix latest passport photograph.

3. D.D. of Rs.1200/- towards form fee + Entrance exam fee shall be drawn in favour of the RegistrarB.V.D.U., Pune on any Nationalized Bank payable at Pune.

4. The D.D. shall be enclosed with the application form with name & address of candidate written onthe backside of the D.D.

Conduct of LL.B. Entrance Test Examination

The examination will be conducted on 14th June, 2014 at the examination centers mentioned abovefrom11.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. The question paper will be in English only.

Merit List

The Merit list of candidates who have appeared for LL.B. Entrance Test 2014 for admission in LL.B. 3 Yearfor the academic year 2014-15 will be displayed in accordance with the marks obtained by them in LL.B.Entrance Test 2014.

Counseling Programme & Admission

The candidate shall secure minimum 50% marks in LL.B. Entrance Test 2014 to pass the entranceexamination

It is advisable that every candidate shall visit the law college website: www.bvpnlcpune.org from time to

time for updated information or clarification regarding counseling and admission schedule.

The candidates who have qualified the LL.B. Entrance Test 2014 and called for counselling through

website notification shall attend the first counselling for admission (subject to his merit and seats

available) at New Law College, Pune on 3rd July 2014. The candidates will not be sent individual letters

of counselling for provisional admission.

Admission for LL.B. 3 year Course shall be made on basis of merit secured by the candidate at LL.B.

Entrance Test 2014 as per the requirement of intake capacity.

The student shall confirm his/her admission by paying the total fees on the date of Counseling. The fee

can be paid through Cash / D.D. in favour of Principal, New Law College, Pune drawn on any nationalized

bank payable at Pune.

If any seats remain vacant it will be filled by subsequent couselling which shall be notified on the website

from time to time.

The eligible candidate will lose his/her claim for admission If he fails to attend counselling on the

Court Jurisdiction Any Legal matter arising out of the admission procedure of the Law Course, through LL.B. Entrance Test

2014 of Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, Pune - 30, will be under the jurisdiction of Court at Pune. Ragging

Ragging in any form is prohibited and is an offence governed by Maharashtra Prohibition of Ragging Act, 1999 and UGC Regulations 2009 Ragging within or outside educational institution is

prohibited and is an offence. Punishment for ragging is Imprisonment up to 2 years & / or fine up to Rs. 10,000/- convicted of

offence of Ragging shall be dismissed from the college and will not be eligible for admission in any othereducational institution for a period of 5years

Hostel accommodation Limited Hostel accommodation is available on the campus both for boys and girls (10 seats for boys

& 5 seats for girls). The same will be given on merit basis. The hostel fee once paid is not refundable.

Miscelleneous After exhausting the list of students who have qualified the Entrance Test, if any seats are left out the

same will be allotted to the other candidates who had appeared for Law Entrance Test in the order of Meritsecured by them through subsequent counselling and spot admission.

Theconference was held at historic Boston Park Plaza from 11th to 14th Feb' 2010. The conference was attended by 3000delegates from 35 countries. The conference aimed to simulate the students in developing expertise in research,

writing, public speaking & the art of negotiation as they fight for the interest of the country they represents. Theconference was inaugurated by Mr. Bonian Golmohammadi, Secretary General of World Federation of United Nations

Association. Dr. Sarda's views were highly appreciated. He voiced for international cooperation and effectivedialogues between the neighboring counties to combat terrorism. Pune Bomb Blast was raised in the mee6ting and

concern was shown by the delegates for taking measures and promoting peace in south Asia region. Cyber terrorismand nuclear disarmament issues were also discussed. Speaking to the news agencies Dr. Sarda said internationalconference of such type in particular at Harvard excels in promoting quality legal education of international standards.

LEGAL AID PROGRAMME The legal aid programme and legal literacy camps are specially designed to promote social responsibility and

citizenship role amongst the students. The institution offers free legal aid services, holds legal literacy camps andorganizes various social activities to promote social justice and make the students responsible citizens. Theinstitution every year conducts legal aid camp at a particular village / area, make the survey, identify the legalproblems and with the help of renowned lawyers provide the citizens / claimant free legal aid services. The students are involved in legal aid and legal literacy camps. In these camps with the help of the faculty and therenowned lawyers awareness is created about the rights and duties of the citizens. Free advice is given on the issuesrelating to women empowerment, promotion of child rights, prevention of sexual harassment, domestic

violence, rights of disadvantaged groups, environment protection, rights of prisoners and accused, public interestlitigation, lok adalat & assisting in filing complaints in police station are the majors taken to strengthen these
