• Have you ever wondered why the “mom” jeans and the fanny pack were a craze? Me too, I’m sad to say the fashion of today will be yesterday’s news. So girls prepare to throw away your Mary Jane’s because the fashion of the future is here! Whatever it is, I just hope it won’t include nudity.

Description:

• The topic I chose to write about is “ The Future of Fashion.” The power point will give you a sneak peak into the fashion craze now and the fashion craze of tomorrow. Pros and cons of both topics will be listed. Also problems or ethical issues will be taken a closer look at. The gist of this whole power point is to recognize if the future of fashion will last and how will it affect tomorrow’s society.

Fashion of Today VS. Fashion of Tomorrow:

The Fashion of Today:

• Metallic colors such as gold and silver are in this season.

• Also glitter is very big.

The Fashion of the Future:

• This cloth works like a communication device.

• Bluetooth technology allows the screen to be linked to your mobile phone network, and general packet radio service.

• This allows users to be connected to one another and grants access online.

• Celebrities are now breathing easily in this season’s airiest dress, the trapeze dress.

• For example like this one from designer Sari Gueron.

• This scarf is not like any other scarf.

• This scarf can record and play back the affectionate touch of loved ones.

• Designers are now recreating three dimensional beauty of roses and peonies.

• This new trend has said to be called “The New Romantics.”

• Oversize blossoms tend to soften structured gowns and dresses.

• This piece of clothing is called “Heartbeat Hoodie,” made by designer Diana Eng.

• This hoodie has a built-in camera linked to the wearer’s heart rate and adrenaline levels.

• If the wearer becomes excited, this causes the heart rate and adrenaline levels to increase.

• This causes the camera to automatically to snap photos.

• Eighties fashion seems to be a big comeback for the spring 2007 collection.

• Multicolor bandage minis and fluorescent elastic dresses are now big.

• slashed-to-the-thigh glamour gowns are also making a come back like this dress made by new comer Christopher Kane.

Pros and Cons of Fashion Of Today:

• Pro: Fashion of today is much more simple and has more accessories rather than gadgets.

• Con: You must fuss through your bag in order to get your cell phone.

• Pro: No directions to read through before you get dressed.

Pros and Cons of The Fashion of The Future:

• Pro: Gadgets such as the cell phone will be added to fashion such as your favorite sweater. Which can make you less multi-task.

• Con: Clothing yourself will now seem too complex.

• Pro: Everything will now be attached to you, no more fussing around through your bag in search for your iPod or cell phone.

• Con: Everyone will even be more lazier than before.

Where Fashion is Now and Where Will it Be in The Future:

• Fashion tends to change for every look for every season.

• For example, hoodies were never really special even when it is accessorized.

• Hoodies of the future now come with a built-in camera.

• Who knows what the future will bring.

How Fashion of the Future Will Affect Society:

• Gadgets are now built into your favorite clothing.• There will be no longer multi-tasking, more relaxing.• Unfortunately, due to the gadgets easily being on you,

many will start to get lazy.
