Theintuitive,simple,POINT OF SALE (POS)takesonlyminutesandtwoorthreerepetitionstomaster.Thismakestrainingemployeesandvolunteersasnap!ThePOStakestheguessworkoutofeveryscenario.Withfeatureslike“clickofabutton”discountsandrefunds,concessionsrunsmoothwithnewworkersandseasonedprosalike.ThePOSofferstheflexibilitytotakephysicalcreditcardsaswellascash.Inaddition,thePOSkeepsthingsmovinginanorderlyfashion,evenduringthe“rush”.Ifitemsarereadilyavailable,ringtheorderupandhandittothecustomer.Ifanitemhastobeassembledorcooked,simplysendtheordertoTheSnackMonkeyorderpicker.Thatcustomerwaitstothesidewhilethenextcustomerisserved.Oncetheorderiscomplete,thecustomer’snameiscalled,andtheorderisdelivered.

The ORDER PICKERdisplaysincomingordersfromboththemobileappandthePOS.Fromhere,theconcessionworker(s)canseetheordersdisplayedfromtoptobottomina“first-in,first-out”fashion.Oldestordersatthetopandnewestordersatthebottom.Onceanorderis“clicked”onthetouchscreen,theorderpickerdisplaysthecontentsoftheorder.Workerscanfillthatspecificorderandmarkitoneoftwoways:

• ForPOSorders,simplycallthenameofthewaitingcustomeranddelivertheitem.Click“Delivered”ontheorderpickerandtheorderdisappearsfromthedisplayandisplacedinhistory.

• Formobileapporders,click“readyforpick-up”ontheorderpicker.TheSnackMonkeysendsatextmessage,alertingthecustomertheirorderisready.Oncethecustomershowsupattheconcessionstand,theordernumberonthetextmessageandtheorderpickerarevisuallyconfirmedandtheitemsaredelivered.Click“Delivered”ontheorderpickerandtheorderdisappearsfromthedisplayandisplacedinhistory.

• The MENUbuttonallowsaconcessionworkertoquicklymarkamenuitem“outofstock”sothatitemwillnolongershowupinTheSnackMonkeyapp.Thisisvery important ifaconcessionrunsoutofacertainitem.Itpreventsanappuserfrompurchasingandpayingfortheitem,onlytofindoutthevenuehasrunout,resultinginarefundandapotentiallyunhappycustomer.Thisfeaturealsomarkstheitemas“out”inthePOSandpreventsconcessionworkersfromsellingtheitemtowalk-upcustomers.

• The LOCATIONSbuttonisusedtoturnavenue’sconcession(s)onandoff.Itisvery important for a venuetomarktheconcession“closed”whenitisdoneservingcustomers.Thispreventsanappuserfromaccessingthemenu,purchasing,andpayingforitemswhentheconcessionisnotopen.Itisalsoimportanttomarkaconcession“open”whentheconcessionisopen.Thiswillallowappuserstoorderfromthatconcession.

• The INVENTORYbuttonallowsaconcessiontoperformasimplephysicalinventoryoftheproducts.Theinventoryscreendisplaysalltheitemsonaconcession’smenualongwiththecurrentcount.Onceaproductisselected,aworkercanmarktheproductcount“correct”orsimplyadjustthecountupordown.Typically,venuesrequireaphysicalinventorybeperformedatregularintervals-i.e.endofshift,endofday,orweekly.Themoreoftenthephysicalinventoriesareconducted,themoreaccuratethecountsandreportingwillbe.

TheSnackMonkeyMOBILE APPisafreedownloadfromtheAppleAppStoreandtheGooglePlayStore.WhenacustomerdownloadsTheSnackMonkeymobileappandsetsupanaccount,theyareofferedtwouniqueoptions:

Concessionordering:• Customerscanaccessavenue’smenuandpurchaseitems,usingacreditcard,throughthemobileapp,

rightfromtheirseat.Oncetheorderisready,thecustomerreceivesatextmessage.Theycanwalkuptotheconcession,showthetextmessage,andreceivetheiritems.Nolines,nophysicalcontact.

Ticketpurchases:• Customerscanpurchaseticketstoenterthevenue,usingacreditcard,throughthemobileapp.Once

ticketsarepurchased,aQRcodeforeachticketwillshowupintheirappunder“mytickets”.Thecustomershowsthiscode(s)tothegateworkerwhoscansthecodeandredeemstheticket.OnceaQRticketisscanned,itcanneverbeusedagain.Preventingmultipleusesofthesameticketpurchase.Oncescanned,theQRticketdisappearsfromthecustomer’s“mytickets”screenontheapp.

• AconvenientuseoftheQRticketprocessispurchasingmultipleticketsatatime.Ifoneormoreof

acustomer’spartydoesnotshowuptothevenueatthesametime,thecustomersimplytakesascreenshotofoneoftheQRticketsandsendsittothepersonwhoislate,orearly.ThatpersonthenshowsthepicturetothegateworkerwhoscanstheQRcodeandredeemsthatticket.OncethatparticularQRcodeisscanned,itcannotbeusedagain.Thecodewillalsodisappearfromtheoriginalcustomer’s“mytickets”screenontheirapp.

• TheSnackMonkeyprovidesa“nocost”solutionforavenuetoscantickets.FromtheAdministrativeWebBack-Endtheadmincanselecttheoptiontoturnagateworker’sappintoascanner.Now,whentheworkeropensTheSnackMonkeyappontheirmobilephone,theysimplygoto“click”the“account”button.Atthebottomofthescreen,abuttonlabeled“gate”appears.Whentheworker“clicks”thisbutton,theirappbecomestheticketscanner.NoWiFioradditionalhardwarepurchaseisnecessary.Thisfunctiononlyworksintheappanddoesnotaffecttherestofthegateworker’smobilephone.TheadmincanturnthegateworkerfeatureonandoffintheAdministrativeWebBack-Endbyenteringthegateworkersphonenumber.

Anaccountwithacreditcardprocessor:• Currently,TheSnackMonkeysoftwareworkswithStripecreditcardprocessing.Thevenuewillsetupitsown

Stripeaccountthatislinkedtoitsbankaccount.Theprocessisverysimpleand405Technologycanassistavenuewiththeprocessifneeded.OncethevenuehasitsownStripeaccount,405TechnologywilllinkTheSnackMonkeycreditcardprocessingscreentothevenue.Allcreditcardpurchases(physicalandmobile)processedthroughStripe,willenterintothevenue’sbankaccount.405TechnologyisinnowayaffiliatedwithStripe.Additionally,allcreditcardtransactionsthathappenthroughTheSnackMonkeyarehandledbyStripe.ThemoneyistransferredfromStripetothevenue’sbankaccount.TheSnackMonkey,nor405Technology,everhandleorreceiveanymoneyfromatransaction.Stripeofferstoolsandreportsforavenuetomonitorandmanageitscreditcardpaymentsandreceipts.

MostvenuesusingTheSnackMonkeyarecharginga$1.00creditcardconveniencefee.Thisworkswellforseveralreasons:

1. Customers areusedtopayingconveniencefeesatotherplacessuchasanATMorpurchasingeventticketsonline,etc.

2. Youthsportsvenuesarenotinclosecompetitionwithotherbusinesseswhenitcomestoconcessionsorticketsales.Unlikeagasstationorcoffeeshopwhereacustomercan,andwill,goacrossthestreetforabetterdeal,acustomeratayouthsportsvenueisnotlikelytoleavetogobuyfoodelsewhere.Youthsportsvenuesaremorelikeathemeparkormovietheaterinthatregard.

3. Mostyouthsportsvenuesarenon-profitsanddonotchargetax.Customersareusedtopayingmorethanthestickerpriceforanitemoncetaxisaddedon.Inthiscase,itisnottax,itisaconveniencefee.
