Our Community Action Plan

We can host a chapter meeting about the drought that caused the change in climate by announcing on the radio or we could just go to different residents and let them know about the meeting so they can tell other people we can’t reach.

Have proof of the drought so families can know if it’s happening or not.

Tell people in our community about drought.

We would like to check the drought increase or the decrease by observing the soil moisture and life of plants. We can use the RPI sensor and look around at the plants to see if they aren’t getting enough water.

Monitor drought increase or decrease.

Our thoughts were to ask other families to check the soil moisture and the life of plants around the community in different groups. We also plan to observe the soil moisture in the water dams to see if there is a drought happening or not.

These activities will benefit our community because it will show people how to check soil moisture.

What activities we plan to do.

We plan to include the local residents and chapter members, because it affects them the most and the livestock they own. They also know the land and where to put the sensors.

Who is involved?

We will all gather at a location(chapter house) where we can present and discuss our ideas and activities with the whole community.
