I chose this photographer for many reasons:

1. She seemed very interesting, as a person2. She photographed on a very important time period in history, Great

Depression era and the post-war era3. Her photos caught my attention because I would like to know what it

was like back then at that time and what she snapped definitely showed that

4. I’ve never learned about her before5. I feel like she captured the citizens feelings and thoughts very well, so

we can understand what it was like for them6. She showed a broad topic of all different things, she didn’t just take

pictures on one certain thing, it was just throughout that time in history

7. I like how all her pictures are black and white, it gives the photos more power and makes us focus on the picture as a whole and not just certain pieces of it
