What is a swamp

• A wetland is an habitat that is half way between land and water environments, with features of both types.

• Swamps get water from the sea, lakes and rivers.

• Their water is either fresh water or Salt water.

• Swamps have shallow water, but sometimes have high water when it floods.

• Swamps are warm wet areas. • In the wet season swamps have higher

water than the dry

Where does Swamp Water go

• Coastal swamp water goes to the beach’s.

• When swamps are near to rivers there water goes to rivers.

• It depends on the swamp if the water is stable

• Coastal swamp water drains quickly cause there near beaches.
