One day, in the forest, Baboon was cranky as always. Then Monkey saw Baboon and asked, “Do you want to skip rocks with me?” Since Baboon was Monkey’s friend Baboon said “Sure I’ll come skip rocks with you.”

When they were skipping rocks, Gorilla was walking by and

he told Baboon “ What’s so special about you? Your just like me but with a tail” Baboon got really mad and ran away. Monkey thought about how Baboon taught Monkey how to climb so well and that he would help Baboon.

That night baboon thought about how Gorilla always made fun of him and then fell asleep.

Monkey called Blue Bird and asked “ Will you paint a stripe on Baboons face?” “Sure I will.” said Blue Bird

When Blue Bird was at Baboons house he said “ I feel bad for Baboon, Gorilla is always making fun of him.” “I know,” said Monkey, that’s why I called you!” Baboon was asleep so Blue Bird painted a stripe on Baboon’s face.

When Blue Bird was done he said, “ I think he could use some red.” He called Red Bird and asked, “Will you paint a red stripe on Baboon’s face?” “Sure I will.” said Red Bird, “I will be over in a minute.” When Red Bird was at Baboon’s house she painted a red stripe and said, “I think that will do, and I hope Baboon wont be made fun of.

The next day, Cheetah told The Lion that the Baboon now had stripes. Lion was happy that Gorilla wouldn’t make fun of him or anyone else. That’s how the Baboon got his stripes.
