The ABCs of math and shapes

By Nathan

Acute• The acute angle is an angle between 0 and 90.

the acute angle can be in shapes or it can be just a plane old angle. The acute angle is a very tiny angle and the smallest angle in all the angles.

Base• The base is how the shape is named. The base is

on the top and bottom of the shape. The base can be any shape like square.

Cube

• A cube is a solid bounded by six squares. There is a cube and a square. A square is a non 3D shape. A cube is a 3D shape with 6 faces.

Diameter• The diameter is a line segment that passes

through the center of a circle.

Equilateral• An Equilateral is a triangle with all equal sides.

There is all so an isosceles and scalene triangle.

Figures

Figure: for or shape, as determined by outlines or exterior surface. A figure is mostly another name for a shape.

Geometry• Is like math but with shapes or numbers either

one.

Hexagon

• A hexagon is a shape with six sides and angles. There are many buildings that are shaped like hexagons.

Isosceles• Isosceles (triangle) is a triangle with two equal

sides. The isosceles has one non equal side then the other two sides. That’s what makes it isosceles.

Jx14=?• J is for multiplying for algebra like the one on the

top. You can use any letter.

Kite• A kite is a paper thing that can fly by wind. The

reason I put kit is because it can be measured by length width and height.

Ledge• The ledge is like the very steep part of the shape

or like on hills if there is one side that goes strait down that’s a ledge.

Math• Math is when you add, multiply, divide, and

subtract.

Net• The net is the layout out of a shape or a shape

taken apart but still in one piece. The net can be recreated in to the shape if in one piece. So the net is basically a dissected shape.

Obtuse• An obtuse angle is an angle more than 180

degrease. The obtuse angle is the biggest and widest angle in all angles.

• The • Obtuse angle -

Parallelogram• The parallelogram is a type of shape NOT GRAM!

A parallelogram is like a crooked square or a sideways diamond.

Quadrilateral

A quadrilateral is a different kinds of shapes like the ones in the picture.

Rectangle• A rectangle is like a square but longer.

Scalene• The scalene triangle is a triangle with no equal

sides. The scalene triangle has nothing that is equal at all.

Triangle• A triangle is a three sided shape and there

different kinds of triangles. The different kinds are scalene isosceles and equilateral.

Uncountable• Uncountable is where it is to high to count or to be

counted

Vertex• The vertex is the corners of the shape.

Width• The width is how wide some shape or something

is.

X coordinate• The X coordinate is the coordinate that is strait

across.

Y coordinates• The Y coordinate is on a graph. There is a Y

coordinate and an X coordinate. The Y coordinate is the coordinate that goes strait down.

Zero property• The zero property is :0x0=0.so the zero property

is 0x0 or zero x any number is the zero property.
