Job Description• Aid doctors in treating diseases.

• Aid doctors in diagnosing diseases.

• Test body samples Ex: blood test, urine sample, etc.

• 85% of medical decisions are based on these results.

• Technologists supervise labs and technicians.

• Technologists analyze and convey data.

Typical Day1. Check message and inspect lab equipment.

2. Set up specimens and wet mounts/test.

3. Speak with other health care professionals/monitor

technicians.

4. Examine grams and wet mounts and record data.

5. Work out problems that are occurring. Ex: Technicians,

computers, etc.

6. Do semen and pregnancy analyses.

Skills Needed• How to use lab equipment. Ex: microscopes, chemical

analyzers, etc.
