Jesus and the Cross while we are abstaining meat and the matter becomes less important if we eat it.• We abstain from eating because in honor

of the passion of Jesus on Good Friday.

• We fast because it is a reminder that Christ offered himself to us.• During lent we offer our own flesh to

Christ.• We fast because we abstain from eating

meat because it makes the heart grow fonder of God.• It is a form of prayer to fast.

• We fast on a Friday because Jesus died on Good Friday. • Is an act of self sacrifice that reminds

us of Jesus dying on the cross on Good Friday.• it makes the bodies and the soul

grow holier if we don’t eat meat.

industries because times were tough It was a lot cheaper than meat and chickenIt was a food product was cheap and humble
