3) INTEGRATE first-aid practice with simulated

rescue simulations

4) Emphasize basic information

5) Apply theory (keep activities practical)

6) Teach candidates to assess NOT MEMORIZE!

1) Use key phrases and acronyms -> RED, CHAMPLE, WARTS.

2) REALISM!!!!! Make simulations and their victims realistic

3) Assign them partners and be strategic (break apart trouble makers!)

4) Use real life stories

5) If a drill isn't working try something else!

6) Insure safety of candidates and make them aware of the limitations of

their bodies

7) Use visual aids!

8) Be flexible- space and equipment
