Britain's Government passed the Tea Act of 1773 giving East India Company the right to ship tea directly to the British American colonies with out paying any taxes

This created frustration as middle men and American traders would be cut out as they had to pay taxes

Boston Tea Party consisted of colonists that dressed up as American Indians, they then breached the ships and dumped the tea into the Boston Harbor

This action cost a huge amount of money to the British merchants

The port of Boston was shut down as a result This event lead to the creation of a

independent America as conflict between America And Europe was created

In a sense it was disrespectful to the American colonies

This created a partnership between all the American colonies and generate a protest against England

This was the spark needed to start the American Revolution which led to the independence of America
