Preliminary Pageant Guidelines

1. All rules and regulations ofBYB Boot Camp Pageantry apply to all preliminary BYBBoot Camp Pageants.

2. The BYB Boot Camp Pageantry scoring system MUST be used for all PreliminaryBYB Boot Camp Pageants.

3. Preliminary Pageant promoters must pay a fee of $200.00. This amount includes entryfees for two (2) contestants (Winner and First Runner Up) to compete at the statecompetition and the cost of the preliminary crown. $200.00 must be paid to the BYBBoot Camp owneron the day of their preliminary pageant. In the event that onlyone contestant competes in a preliminary pageant, the entire $200.00 MUST still bepaid to the state promoter. Cash, money order, or PayPal payable to BYB Boot CampPageantry. Entry Fee may be paid to the current Miss Build Your Biz titleholder if theBYB Boot Camp Promoter is not present. Entry fees will not be returned if yourrepresentatives do not compete at Miss Build Your Biz Beauty Pageant.

4. The preliminary crown is designated by the BYB Boot Camp Pageant owner and the

state promoter or the reigning Miss Build Your Biz will bring the crown to yourpreliminary pageant.

5. The current Miss Build Your Biz titleholder must be invited to participate in allPreliminary pageants. A fee of $75.00 (Seventy-five Dollars) will be paid to the MissBuild Your Biz Camp titleholder by the Preliminary promoter.

6. The Preliminary pageant promoter will provide a summary of all pageant scores,including score for each category and total score of all contestants, to the Promoter ofBYB Boot Camp Pageantry on the night of your preliminary pageant. The BYB Boot

Camp titleholder will provide you with the appropriate form upon his/her arrival toyour pageant. The final tally sheet MUST include the signature of the reigning MissBuild Your Biz and Miss Entrepreneur.

7. All Preliminary pageant promoters must contact the Miss Build Your Biz titleholderAND The Miss Build Your Biz Promoter to schedule the date for the preliminarypageant.

8. In the absence of the owner/promoter of BYB Boot Camp Pageantry, the currenttitleholder is authorized to make administrative decisions at a Preliminary pageant, ifneeded, within the rules and regulations of the BYB Boot Camp Pageantry System.

9. Preliminary pageant promoters cannotappoint winners to their preliminary pageantto advance to the Miss Build Your Biz Beauty Pageant. All contestants in the MissBuild Your Biz Beauty Pageant must have qualified by either winning or placing inthe Pageant Week Preliminary Pageant.

10. Preliminary Pageant Promoters are not expected to pay for hotel or sleepingaccommodations for their contestants as they participate in the Miss Build Your BizBeauty Pageant. It is up to each individual promoter to decide if they will contributefor accommodations of their contestants.

11. Preliminary Promoters are not expected to pay for hotel or sleeping accommodationsfor the BYB Boot Camp Pageantry titleholders as he/she participates in the PageantWeek Preliminary Pageants. Only the appearance fee of $75.00 (seventy-five dollars)

is required to be paid to the Miss Build Your Biz Beauty Pageant titleholders at thetime of the Pageant Week Preliminary Pageant.

12. All Preliminary Pageants MUST be scheduled by October 12, 2011. This does

not mean that your pageant has to be held by October 12. It simply means that

you must have a scheduled date for the preliminary pageant. If you do not have

a date for your preliminary pageant, we will offer the pageant to another

promoter.

13. All Preliminary Pageant Promoters MUST sign a preliminary pageant contract forALL 2011-2012 BYB Boot Camp Pageantry Preliminary Pageants.

14. The Advertised Cash Prize Package for each Miss Build Your Biz Preliminarycannot exceed $75.00 the night of the pageant and $75.00 upon giving up the title. Ifpromoters want to give additional cash your representative(s), you are more thanwelcome to do so. However, the additional amount that you give will be considered agift and cannot be made to look as part of the prize package. This provides an equalopportunity for all promoters to have as many contestants as possible. We do notwant contestants holding out for certain preliminaries just because the cash prize ismore than other preliminary pageants. This will give all preliminaries the sameadvantage as far as cash prizes are concerned. In addition, you are more thanwelcome to present gift certificates or other gifts to your preliminary representatives.

15. Preliminary promoters may not sell their preliminary pageant. Preliminary pageants

are contracted to promoters for a period of one (1) year. If you choose not to renewyour contract for the following years preliminary, the BYB Boot Camp Pageantryowner will offer the preliminary contract to another interested party.

16. All Preliminary pageant promoters must be approved by the BYB Boot CampPageantry owner.

17. If you are offering additional cash, benefit shows, bookings, etc. to your qualifiedcontestants in preparation for the Miss Build Your Biz Beauty Pageant, thisinformation must be provided to the contestant in writing and signed by both parties.Please remember that your integrity as a promoter is defined by following throughwith those things that have been promised to the contestant.

18. Any qualified contestant who does not compete at the Miss Build Your Biz BeautyPageant during their year of qualification, must reimburse the amount of the EntryFee for the BYB Boot Camp Pageantry ($75.00) to the preliminary promoter within30 days of the date of Registration for the Miss Build Your Biz Beauty Pageant.

19. Any Preliminary titleholder who does not compete at Miss Build Your Biz BeautyPageant must return the crown, all awards, and all cash prizes to the preliminarypromoter within 10 days of the state pageant for which contestant did not compete.
