Iwroteyoubackin2011andIwasjustgettingintoPythonandwantedtothankyouforyourtutorial"AByteofPython".Withoutit,Iwouldhavefallenbythewayside.SincethenIhavegoneontoprogramanumberoffunctionsinmyorganizationwiththislanguagewithyetmoreonthehorizon.IwouldnotcallmyselfanadvancedprogrammerbyanystretchbutInoticetheoccasionalrequestforassistancenowfromotherssinceIstartedusingit.Idiscovered,whilereading"Byte"whyIhadceasedstudyingCandC++anditwasbecausethebookgiventomestartedoutwithanexamplecontaininganaugmentedassignment.Ofcourse,therewasnoexplanationforthisarrangementofoperatorsandIfellonmyheadtryingtomakesenseofwhatwasonthewrittenpage.AsIrecallitwasamostfrustratingexercisewhichIeventuallyabandoned.Doesn'tmeanCorC++isimpossibletolearn,oreventhatIamstupid,butitdoesmeanthatthedocumentationIworkedmywaythroughdidnotdefinethesymbolsandwordswhichisanessentialpartofanyinstruction.Justascomputerswillnotbeabletounderstandacomputerwordorcomputersymbolthatisoutsidethesyntaxforthelanguagebeingused,astudentnewtoanyfieldwilln
