A BIBLIOGRAPHYof

BOOKS AND EDUCATIONAL MEDIA RELATED TO NEGRO CULTURE

The bibliography on the following pages dealing with the Negro, his history and his achievementssupersedes the bibliography in Appendix A of Report I, October 1, 1968, Inclusion of NegroCulture in the Dade County Curriculum. As with most is of type, it represents for thelibrarian, the teacher and other instructional personnel, a !,carting point in selecting materials. It isnot intended to be an exhaustive cataloging of the subject, nor is it intended to serve as a sou, .7c ofrecommendations for purchase. All books should be reviewed and eval.ia ted as to dlr.sappropriatencts for the students and their relevance tr, the curriculum of school.

It is hoped that the attached bibliography, as well as In the Mainstre,;,n, a bibliography on CieNegro in American history prepared in the spring of 1968, will be of help to the schools in theirefforts to supplement existing collections on this subject.
