BLOOD PRESSURE CLINIC Wednesdays, 10-11:30 a.m. in the club-house.

I realize that there are some folks that are not happy with change. But this is the 21st Century, hence big changes. So goes with the C-Breeze. Due to time involved putting the C-Breeze to-gether, lease price of the copier, cost of special sized paper, volunteer time printing, stuffing, and distributing to block captains, block captains (when here) delivering to all residences, etc., we have decided to go high tech. The C-Breeze will be available on the Cam-bridge web site, will be sent to every-one by E-mail (that has an e-mail ad-dress on file with us) and for those resi-dents that DO NOT have computers, you can pick up a copy at the club-house office Monday-Friday, 9-10 a.m). Please be considerate and only take a copy if you do not have e-mail. We will only print a limited number of copies. If you have a computer, please view your copy online, or print out your own copy. If you would like to be put on the E-mail list, please let us know your e-mail ad-dress so that our computer records can be updated so that you can receive your copy monthly. Thank you for your cooperation and consideration with this situation. Judy Ricker

Now that our community’s website (Cambridge-HeritageRidgeSouth.com) is up and running, we would like to ex-pand it’s content to better serve the needs of our association. If you have suggestions on how to improve the site or other information that you would like to see added, please email your ideas to [email protected]. All submis-sions will be reviewed and will require board approval before being added.

Time to clean out those sheds and closets because our annual Flea Mar-ket will be Saturday, February 25th. Donations can be brought to the club-house and put by the Ceramics room door. We need items in GOOD, SELLABLE condition. If you are just moving in and have items that you do not want, please think about donating them. All proceeds go to Cambridge and help keep our assessments down. Any large items, please call Ernie Neeld (561-310-9796) to arrange for pickup. Thank you.

Besides having a great lunch, and birthday cake, and putting our Christmas money in the envelope.....yes ladies, it is time to ante up on the old donations. Having all this fun, also causes the ole Grinch to come collecting. Plus, put your thinking hat on, we will be playing a trivia game for a prize. I wonder if it will be a "good" prize or a "goofy" prize? The suspense is killing me! Remember to call Bea Clock at 772-545-2729 for your reservation, no later than Dec.11 and if anyone is in need of a ride or would car pool, let either Bea Clock or me, Marty Scheuermann,-772-546-9037 and we will do our best to get you there.

TO MY FELLOW CAMBRIDGE RESIDENTS In January of 1983 my wife Marjie and I moved into Cam-bridge and we have never been sorry. It is a wonderful place to live. Way back then, phase two was probably only half devel-oped and phase three was non-existent. Most of the retirees were in their 50's, 60's and 70's. All were enthusiastic about their new homes in Cambridge. Board meetings were well at-tended. People were happy to volunteer. Today Cambridge is a different place. Although it is still a wonderful community in which to live, most of the folks of our generation have been supplanted by a younger group. Of course that is only natural in the evolution of any town or subdi-vision. But what is different today, among other things, is that meetings are less well attended and people are less inclined to volunteer. That is becoming a problem because volunteerism is the backbone of Cambridge. Cambridge does not run itself. People run Cambridge. VOL-UNTEERS run Cambridge.. The latest indication of the lack of volunteers is that for the first time in over 30 years, the C-Breeze will no longer be delivered. I am appealing to each and every able bodied resident to please consider volunteering some time to our community. If only one or two people on each block were to give less than an hour a month the C-Breeze could possibly be delivered again. There are other jobs for which help is needed. Some take more time. Some have a lot of responsibility, such as board members, yet without people to help out, I can guarantee we are headed for a management company to run Cambridge. No-body will like that. It will be much, much more expensive and a hardship for many residents. Not only that, but management companies can be pretty cold blooded about enforcing rules and regulations. I implore all residents that are able to please stop in the club-house office or give them a call at 772-546-9530 and offer what-ever time and talent you can spare. Thank you, Larry Drew
