The Thomason Family

You and I are in the midst of examining the issues and candidates, and preparing to vote in our national, stateand local elections. As soon as I receive it, I’ll be sending in my mail-in ballot with a prayer from my heart forGod’s blessings on the future of our Country! Why do we vote? One of our Founding Fathers, Samuel Adams, once wrote: “Let each citizen remember at the moment he is offering his vote that he is... executing one of themost solemn trusts in human society for which he is accountable to God and his country.” When we vote, wevote to advance in our Country the values, virtues and strengths we hold most dear. As I fill out my ballot, I’ll beasking our dear Lord to guide my decisions and will be looking to the teachings of my holy Catholic faith to helpme vote wisely and well. Of first concern to me are issues that impact the protection of all human life and thestrength of marriage and family life. I’ll be discussing these issues during my homily this weekend and, as always,I look forward to seeing you and your loved ones!

Meet Tom, Sarah, John Paul, Kateri, and JoJo! The Thomason’s have been making the most of these Covidtimes by embracing being tourists in Colorado! They enjoy family adventures together, whether to the zoo, a

state park, Red Rocks, or their family favorite: The Garden of the Gods. But on a night-in, you might find themwatching their favorite family movie, Angela's Christmas (a 30-minute gem on Netflix that will have you

laughing, crying and smiling. It's beautiful. You won't regret watching it). That is, if they're not cheering ontheir sports teams. The boys are definitely Broncos fans while Momma and Kateri root for the Packers. JoJo isundecided as of yet, but it'll be interesting since her favorite colors are yellow and orange… It could go either

way! St. Vincent's has become a home for their family. A place where their children are taught the faith andencouraged to live it fully and a place where they are challenged to grow in their relationship with the Lord.

Sarah wasn’t always Catholic, and she says she may not have become Catholic if it weren’t for St. John Paul II.He’s the one they’d pick, hands down, to come over as a dinner guest. He’s had a huge influence on their family

life and deepening of their faith. As fans of the book series, the Thomason’s would love to cross off theirbucket list going to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Orlando and trying some butter beer!

DEAR ST. VINCENT DE PAUL FAMILY,

Fr. John Hilton
