System inspection and calibration
Ensure all manufacturer recommended maintenance is completed at prescribed intervals. Inspect common failure points to ensure issues are discovered before any loss in production.
Mechanical inspection of racking and conduit runs, visual inspection of wire management, and thermal imaging of modules.
Regular testing of voltage and current at the string level ensures any loss in production is addressed in a timely manner.
Inspection of all subpanels, switchgear, and disconnects. Including torque checks, mechanical inspection, and thermal imaging of all conductors, bussing, fuses, and breakers. Prevents loss in production associated with failed AC components.
If applicable, regular inspection of critical tracker components and performing the manufacturer’s recommended maintenance identies and prevents any issues which may lead to lost production.
To ensure IT system health and accuracy of the monitoring data system, calibration is vital. Inspection and calibration of the every component in the Data Acquisition System and Meteorological Station conrms the monitoring system is reporting accurate data. Accurate monitoring data is crucial to forecasting production and identifying production issues as they arise.
Performance analysis at the inverter and system level can identify trends in production which may indicate underlying issues with the system.
Scheduling and execution of software upgrades is critical to ensuring that component eciency is optimized and full operational capabilities are in play. Since each system is unique, SST creates a schedule of upgrades based on the components being used and the manufacturers involved.
Our 200 point preventative maintenance checklist veries the health of your entire system.

IV Curve tracing
Provides a permanent record of the as-built system performance, a benchmark for comparison as arrays age and degrade. Identies underperforming strings by measuring string voltage and current.
IR [infrared] imaging is used to quickly identify hot spots resulting from cracked cells, failed solder joints or damaged bypass diodes. Prevents production losses from going unnoticed for extended periods of time.
Estimated annual soiling losses range from 2.5% to nearly 15%, depending upon local conditions. Regular washing mitigates these losses.
A megohm-meter is used to test electrical insulation. Megger testing is a common step during PV system commissioning or acceptance, especially on larger projects and PPAs. An essential test when troubleshooting intermittent ground faults, since a megohm-meter can identify a conductor with weak or damaged insulation.
Inherent sensor error, sensor drift, bad connections and inaccurate calibration all contribute to measurement uncertainty. Regular calibration of these sensors ensures any analysis is based on accurate data.
Included in ULTIMATE PLAN
Initial onsite system health check up
Vegetation growth can lead to revenue stealing shade. Plant growth can also interfere with structural integrity. Regular vegetation removal is extremely important in high growth areas.
Know that your system is performing up to expectations. This process includes a thorough visual inspection along with selective testing. A health report is generated and any items requiring corrective action are idenited and prioritized for the system owner.

RECOMMISONINGCommissioning is the nal verication process used to compare and conrm an installed project to its designed plans and engineering. It is the last chance to identify quality in workmanship, materials and ensures system integrity for the lifespan of the system. Your system was commissioned before being turned over to you the rst time. An important step in assuming O&M of a solar asset, recommissioning establishes a new baseline for all future measurements. It determines whether a system is underperforming expectations. In addition, this service can identify small issues before they become costlier.
Recommissioning is included with our Premium and Ultimate package.
INDEPENDENT AUDITSLooking to sell or buy a solar asset? Know the value of that solar electric facility with a full system appraisal. Our technicians perform an intrinsic audit of all mechanical and electrical components throughout your solar power plant. We measure the historical performance data and equipment degradation rates to compare them with current day performance readings to determine the resale value of the system.
