REFLECTION OF PROPHETIC HISTORY RKQS 1051
L: The word is derived from the Arabic root hajara yuhajiru which basically means to cut off friendly relations, to cut off the loving communions, to abandon. The root is also used in the sense of deserting , abstaining, neglecting and shunning.
Qur’an said,
ا جميال� واهجرهم هجر�And leave them with noble dignity. (Q. 73:101)
