COURSE
DESCRIPTION
There are two things you shouldremember when it comes to cablesplicing and terminating: 1. Propersplices and terminations are an integralpart of any cable system, and 2. Cablesplices and terminations become more
susceptible to failure at higher volt-ages.
Therefore, whether splicing orterminating is accomplished by the useof hand-applied tapes, a filled ormolded device, heat-shrinkable tubing,or a prefabricated device, care shouldbe exercised during the application.Poor workmanship or improper choiceof materials could jeopardize thereliability of the entire system.
