    FRP CABLE TRAY :

EPP FRP Cable Trays are made from FRP sectionsmade of glassFibre and Isopthalic resins by highly sophisticated pultrusionplant and are widely used in various industries for theirnumerous advantages over traditional metallic cable trayssystems

    Pultrusion Process

pultrusion is the process of "pulling" raw composites

through a heated die creating a continuous composite

    profile.

    Cable Tray Raw Material

    Resin

    - Resin used mainly are Unsaturated Poly Ester Resin, Isopthalic

    Resin

    - It is available in low or medium viscosity which can be used forfabrication of a wide range of FRP structures by hand lay-up,

filament winding and other conventional fabricating techniques.

Laminates made by this gives corrosion resistance, excellent

mechanical strength, both static and dynamic, etc.

    Chopped Strand mat

Surface mat use to fabricate first layer of GRP material which

made from very thin glass fiber strands.

Chopped Strand Mat used in liner are made of chopped glass

fiber strands that are bonded together to form mats, either with

emulsion or powder binder. They are designed to be compatible

with resin, and are used to reinforce laminate for molding

    application.

    Glass roving

It is a continuous type of reinforcement that is used for filament

winding and other such process where high axial as well as hoop

    strength is of prime requirement.

    Design Codes

Designing of various pultruded structure is done as per the actualmeasured strength of profiles.

EN 13706 applies solely to pultruded profiles .This standardspecifies the minimum requirement of quality, tolerances, strength, stiffness and surface of structural profiles. It categoriesin two part like E23 & E17

    The EPP CTS are manufactured as per;

    1. NEMA FG 1: 1993 Rev. 1 (1994)

    2. IS 6746: 1994

    3. ONGC 4000 S

    Manufacturing

    1. Cable trays are fabricated products frompultruded profile.

    2. After manufacturing various pultruded section, fabrication and assembly done as per standarddrawings.

SS -304 & SS 316 fasteners are use tofabricate various cable trays.

    1. As per the amount of cable load, selection ofprofile takes place like 100 C Channel 4mm/150 C channel 6mm etc.

    2. Standard length available for cable tray is 3.0meter. And Maximum Support span distancedepends upon weight of Cable.

    Manufacturing

    6. As per defined category A/B/C allowable loadis defined for designed FRP cable Tray.

    7. Thermal Expansion & Contraction of trays due tovariation in temperature is very important factorwhich need to take in consideration during

    installation of GRP cable Tray.

    8. Cable Trays designed for both UDL &Concentrated load and also tested for both asspecified in standard.

    9. To match the sizes and load criteria of cables ,trays are available in various width startingfrom 80 mm to 900 mm.

    10. 1.5 times is the safety factor

    Ladder Type Cable Tray

1.These are manufactured by assembling various cross sections like side runners / C channels and rungs.

2.The rungs / unistruts are inverted channels of 40 mm width x 20 mm depth and 4 mm thickness.

3.Cable Tray thickness depends height of Cable Tray4.Space between rungs is 300 mm

5.The Cable Ladder tray length is the length of the side runner / C channels. It is 3000 mm .

6.Cable Trays are joined using coupler plates
