Today, the Cactus Wren Caregiver Training Program, is recognized in the assisted living
industry to be one of the quality-oriented schools for caregiver training. It follows the
requirements of the Arizona Department of Health Services and the Nursing Care
Institution Board (NCIABD). Since its inception, there were 3000+ and counting caregivers
that have gone through the Cactus Wren Caregiver Training Program.

Nursing Assistant
The CACTUS WREN TRAINING PROGRAM for Certified Nursing Assistants is a 120-hour
course providing the CNA student, knowledge and skills necessary to meet the demands of
elderly nursing home residents, ultimately leading to improvements in patient care and
worker satisfaction.
Schedule for Nurse Assistant Classes
This nursing assistant training program curriculum, which was developed by the Nursing
Assistant Advisory Committee and approved by the Arizona State Board of Nursing,
incorporates Article 8 Certified Nursing Assistants rules implemented.
The program is designed to meet applicable Federal and State of Arizona requirements and
prepare students to successfully complete a competency evaluation program.
Phlebotomy Training
The phlebotomy program offered by Cactus Wren Training Program prepares students for
employment as an entry level professional phlebotomists in health care settings.
Each student shall have the classroom instruction of forty (40) clock hour requirement in
order for her or him to obtain the basic knowledge of phlebotomy, and clinical instructions
that will have a one hundred (100) clock hours of clinical training and orientation in a CLIA
regulated, accredited laboratory with a minimum of 100 successful unaided blood
collections including venipunctures and skin punctures.
