Not meeting our English language proficiency requirements?The Intensive English Program (IEP) is uniquely designed to meet the needs of students who have not met the university’s minimum English proficiency requirement. Upon the completion of our Intensive English Program, you automatically fulfill the university’s English proficiency requirement and will be eligible for full admission to UCCS. DeadlinesUCCS has rolling admission (no set deadline) but please give yourself at least 90 days to apply to UCCS prior to starting classes. Please recognize that only admitted students can apply for scholarships. Applications are available December 1 - March 1.

ScholarshipsUCCS offers competitive merit-based scholarships for all students. Please be aware that most UCCS scholarship deadlines are on March 1.

International Student Support Global Engagement Office (GEO)The Global Engagement Office (GEO) supports international students by assisting them with cultural transitions from the day of arrival and providing information for students to better access campus resources. The office also helps students to better understand academic courses, American classroom practices, and university policies. The GEO office works extensively with the Admissions office to provide students with immigration and visa information.

iBuddy ProgramiBuddy program helps international students to make friends with American students. Through cultural exchanges, fun activities on and off campus, and conversation table programs, International students will improve their English skills both academically and socially!

Multicultural Office for Students Access, Inclusiveness, and Community (MOSAIC)The MOSAIC office involves students of all backgrounds and builds an inclusive campus climate. MOSAIC staff members work directly with international student clubs to provide social support and arrange events to help international students succeed socially.

Chancellor’s Leadership ClassThe Chancellor’s Leadership Class (CLC) is a selective university honors program designed to create effective leaders at the undergraduate level. CLC scholars contribute over 5,000 hours of community service a year, take a sequence of leadership courses, and each receive a $4,000 annual scholarship.

LIVE Leadership ProgramThe Launching Integrity, Values and Excellence (LIVE) Leadership Program is designed to cultivate leadership skills among a dedicated group of emerging student leaders. Open to first-year freshmen, the program combines co-curricular training, mentorship, and applied campus leadership experience with an emphasis on civic engagement.

UCCSlead ProgramUCCSlead is a new student leadership development program at UCCS with the goal of developing engaged and ethical world-changing leaders. The program is open to all undergraduate students and incorporates leadership training ,academic coursework, and engaged leadership experiences. Upon successful completion of the program requirements and graduation from UCCS, students will receive recognition on a co-curricular leadership transcript, as well as graduation recognition.
