ConceptAlong with the economic globalization, there are more and more Asians move to America to seek for better education, a better-paid job or more opportunities for career choice. Boston as one of the most multicultural city in the United States, there are a big amount of Asian population live in the city, and there are also a lot of Americans interested in Asian culture since there are huge numbers of Asian restaurants around the country. Our concept is influenced by the decent amount of demand of Asian cuisine and the interest with Asian culture. Audubon society found this as a potential market and opportunities, so they start to build up a cafeteria at the first floor of headquarter in downtown Boston, an Asian culture influenced café in the multicultural Boston.
The interior design of our café will be heavy typography of four different written languages. They are Arabic, Chinese, Thai, and English, which indicate the three different nationalities of our group members. Also, English-speaking people are our major target audience and the primary language is English of our design. Our cafe is function as the employee cafeteria of Audubon, but it also host events as lectures and conferences after regular open hours. And we also want to convey the sense of multicultural design, which intentionally attracts the attention of the demographics from our generation. Because in our generation, Americans are getting used to Asian people, which Asians are around their classroom, their office, and around their neighborhood. So they have more understanding and knowledge of Asian Culture.

Collateral Design
For our collateral, we took the pattern from our murals to make the design more unified in every single piece, they can be the fashion icon of our cafe. Since the collaterals are also heavy typography based design, they will also reminds peo-ple about our interior design, and finally become our brand identity. We aim to show the theme of our cafe from all of our collateral pieces, so we combined both typography and illustrated icons to show the concept, same as our murals. The color from our collateral also has been used on the furniture, logo, murals and coffee color, which are red, blue, green and brown.
