6 Tips to Plan Your Welcome Day

1. Prioritize your day based on your needs. Reference the list of majors and campus map in your Welcome Day bag as resources.

2. To get the most out of your day, have each family member/guest attend different presentations.

3. Presentations are first-come, first-served so be prepared for presentations to reach capacity early.

4. Visit the University Showcase to learn about the many resources available to future Pioneers and to meet Cal State East Bay staff and students.

5. Pick a tour that relates to you most. Campus tours, self-guided housing tours, and Recreation & Wellness Center (RAW) tours will be available.

6. Attend the special events that apply to you, to get additional information and to network: Accept Your Offer of Admission, Pay Your Pre-Enrollment Fee, Submit Financial Aid Forms, and Get Other Enrollment Information (freshmen can also meet with General Education Staff ), Veteran Student Services Open House, Student Equity and Success (SEAS) Programs Open House, and more.

Smith Museum of Anthropology11:15 a.m. – 2 p.m.Acorns, Adobes, and Archaeology: Sifting Through the East Bay’s Past Take a journey through time to learn about the original Ohlone inhabitants and the early Ranchero Period at the museum’s latest exhibit. From beading to bricks, and cordage to cows, visitors are invited to interact with the original Bay Area technologies used to begin transforming the East Bay nearly two centuries ago.
